No elevator!! Very old property that needs some upkeep & beautification!! You can tell they put no money into that property. The room was clean. There were large stones on the carpeting in our room. We are older and we're expecting an elevator for sure. Luckily, we parked in the back to access our room a little easier. I would never recommend or stay there again.

Coffee area was a disaster dirty & not wiped down in 3 days being there. Floor was never vacuumed table tops sticky. If this is a selling point attn to detail is needed. From a Hotel manager myself!

People, comfortable bed, clean room

Overall. I would not stay here again.

Breakfast not so good

Right off the main highway. If you expect a view of the water you won't get it. Room faced the parking lot and couldn't even see the water. The breakfast was gross. The waffle maker wasn't working and the person working said to just slam it down and it will reset it. Bed was never made the next day. Had to ask for extra towels because come to find out, house keeping doesn't happen till after three days of staying.

They are pet friendly for a nominal fee. They were very accommodating when we had to leave a day early. It was nice to have an inexpensive option as we spent very little time in the hotel. We would definitely come back!!

The property was okay, but the service was outstanding.

Beds and pillows were comfortable. Breakfast was sufficient but wish there were more/better options.

It was not unclean, but it was dated and not the clean I look for in a stay. I don’t usually stay at two star properties so this may have been less than I’m used to. It felt a bit uncomfortable walking on the outside stairs to entrance to our floor. No elevator so if you have a lot of luggage, it’s undesirable.

Very un-noteworthy facility. Breakfast area was littered and dirty. No sign of any staff attention!

Very good

Room had cobwebs that had obviously been in the corner of the window for quite some time. Breakfast room had syrup on the wall. Parking lot had garbage scattered. Building is due for a upgrade. Certainly not the Days Inn reputation we expected

The hotel was way too expensive for what it offered.
-
Room was clean, but the price was outrageous, close to $300. For what they charged, everything should have been perfect. Yet the ice machine on both the first and second floor were not working. The sauna would not get hot. The breakfast area was messy, with nobody available to help. We will avoid Duluth in the future.

My daughter and I were guests there scheduled from August 6th to the 10th. The first two mornings were rather uneventful. We woke up, got breakfast and left the hotel to have our adventures along the north shore. On the morning of Sunday the 9th an incident occurred between my daughter and one of the housekeeping staff (the details of which were shared with the management and the local police department.) Immediately after the incident we went to the front desk and explained that there was an incident. The staff said they knew who the staff were and that they would be sequestered in the office and we were asked to not interact with the staff person. I told the desk staff what room we were in and that I was going to escort my daughter to the breakfast lounge and then we would go to our room. As she was eating, the housekeeping staff appeared in the breakfast lounge to get coffee. My daughter was triggered and I got her up from her seat and we went back to the front desk to express our dissatisfaction that he was allowed to go to the breakfast lounge knowing that we would be there. It was at that moment my daughter told the desk staff exactly what the housekeeping staff did to her. I told the desk staff that we would be leaving a day earlier than we planned as my daughter did not feel safe. The desk staff said that he wouldn’t be able to credit me the extra day. I said “Fine.” I was not going

The hotel advertises a breakfast but it was limited.

Great water pressure and hot water. Clean, though could use updating. The bed was not the best. The breakfast area was messy and the eggs were wet, and there was no butter. Parking could be better.

Our room was very clean upon arrival. The front office was small but well kept. Hallways were kept up and clean. When entering our room the inside bathroom door had a hole which I took picture of immediately along with scratched out writing on it. No drain in the bath. It didn't bother us until one family member would have liked to take a bath but no big issue for rest of us. We always had hot water. It never ran cool which I really liked and can be an issue in other hotels we have stayed at. The staff was very cheerful and happy to help at all times, no complaints there. Smaller yet nice and clean exercise room. Room walls are quite thin as we could hear the people in the adjoining room cough violently a good portion of the evening. Someone above us was stomping late at night which would randomly wake us up. We could easily hear people near us unlocking their doors going in and out and it was very easy to think someone was coming into our room but got use to the sound and realized the walls and doors are just rather thin. Both times my husband and myself went down to the Continental breakfast area, it was a complete mess. Garbage everywhere. Food splatter all over the counters. I'm not entirely blaming the staff as I know they were busy cleaning rooms and such, but the customers should have done a better job cleaning up after themselves and not fully relying on staff. Hotel was in nice area and very easy to access what we wanted to see and do.
