Awesome historical place. On the water. Amazing shops and restaurants. Pillows and bedding great. The outdoor spaces are beautiful with flowers everywhere. Everyone is so friendly. Staff and other visitors as well.

Great location on Lake Superior.

We chose the inn based on its distinctive character and history as well as its proximity to the walking path around the bay. The room was pleasant -- an exceptionally comfortable bed, high ceiling, and large window overlooking the lake. The property contains many quality shops, including an excellent outdoor gear store, a large bookstore, a kitchenware store, and a brewhouse. An outstanding ice cream stand is accessible from the hotel lawn overlooking the lake. The location was perfect from our perspective; easily accessible from Canal Park, but free of the tourist congestion.

It was a nice and comfortable (if a little cramped with 2 suitcases) but it would be nice to be able to open a window for fresh air and to hear the lake.

Pet friendly hotel. Room next to mine had a dog that whined and barked until after 10pm and started up again at 6 am. Walls are very thin, I could hear every word spoken in the room with the dog. Spoke to front desk twice without improvement.

Staff was incredibly helpful. Room 406 - I mentioned to the staff that the material on the bench at the end of the king bed had deteriorated and was visible.

We have stayed here a few times before, it has always been great. The only thing I would have liked was a blow dryer in the room.

Super fun place to stay and kudo's for the shuttle service staff!

Wonderful and so much to do and see!!!

We wad a wonderful trip to Duluth and Fitger’s was a big part of that. It is in a cool part of Duluth that has a lot of cool things nearby including the Rose Garden and many good restaurants with stunning views. The staff of the hotel was great. Free minivan shuttle to anywhere!

Very pleasant atmosphere: helpful staff, very clean, excellent breakfast and dinner service. Also very convenient, free parking. Interesting history to the building, though the lobby could be a little brighter, more cheerful.

Breakfast was basically non existent. A cup of tea and a tangerine was not sufficient.

The room, amenities, staff, etc were excellent, as well as the location. The Boat House Restaurant was less than expected. The food and the menu definitely left something to be desired.
