Kissing Moose restaurants is worth the stay. All scratch made food and friendly and kind staff

We wish we would have prepared with popcorn to utilize the microwave and fridge in our room. Kissing Moose Saloon was great with comfortable seating, great views and wonderful Pinot Noir.

Good location

The staff were nice and friendly. The room was the problem. The floor looked clean but turned our socks black. The bed sheets didn't fit the bed properly.
-
Only downfall was they no longer offer a free breakfast, as they opened a restaurant inside with breakfast and lunch with a limited menu. They also now have an extensive selection of board games to play and arcade games

Older hotel Cleanliness of rooms was just OK

The Staff was great, very helpful with supplies for the room, water refill for our bottles, etc.

Great stay!

Our room was nice & cozy and the beds were comfortable. Convenient location at the edge of town with wonderful views. The outdoor deck was a lovely place to sit and relax. The game room and pool kept the kids occupied for a bit as well. Definitely on the list of places we'd consider staying again in the future.

We've been going to the Expedition Lodge for years. The property is clean, the staff is very friendly and helpful, and it's close to great hiking and downtown. This time we were surprised to find the free breakfast replaced by a restaurant. Not sure if that's only in-season, but it was empty both days we were there. Not that differentiated from others in that area now unfortunately. Plus one night our next door neighbor's dog barked for 2 hours straight while the owner was out.

Our room was very nice, very clean. Staff were very friendly & helpful. The layout of the building was a bit odd, though, and the building shows its age.

Room was a mixed bag of good and bad. Bed was comfy, sheets clean, TV selection was vast. Bathroom looked like a DIY project gone bad, drop ceiling like you would find in an office space, mold along all edges of the shower. It felt like you didn’t want to touch anything and get in and out as fast as possible.

This hotel was clean and had beautiful views of the mountains and the lake. I have stayed at a few hotels in Estes and this one was definitely worth it. It is an older building, but the rooms were nice and clean. My only complaint may specifically be my room, but the lighting was very poor. Only 3 dim lamps. Other than that, no complaints about this property.

Room was clean, but slightly weathered in some spots. Staff were extremely helpful and nice.

Room was really outdated bad. Outside room not very appealing. Chairs to sit in on top of decorative rocks and weeds. Bathtub drain draining slow, my wife pulled out a humongous gob of hair. Very nasty. Definitely won’t stay there again.

Outstanding staff! The hotel is older, but the room was updated. Very comfortable bed.

This is the nastiest “lodge” we have ever stayed in. There was mold in the shower, the room smelled terrible and I slept on top of the bed covers for fear of catching something. For almost $300 for the night, you would expect much much more. I do not recommend Expedition Lodge.
