Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Eugene Downtown-University by IHG

The room was clean, but in need of a deep clean on the carpets and the bed was comfortable but had a big divot in it. The fitness room was perfect and open 24 hours. The breakfast was good. Would stay again.

The location is perfect and has plenty of free parkings. We love the friendliness of the staffs on site which make us feel at home. The breakfast is decent and has everything we need.

Nice rooms, clean, good layout. Very good breakfast. Would be almost perfect except for 2 issues. One, there is only one slow elevator for a large four story building. We ended up carrying our suitcases down from the 4th floor on checkout, and 2) we and and at least several other guests received $55 "parking tickets" for parking in the hotel's lot, even though we all had the parking passes on our dashes. Apparently this is a regular thing. The front desk assured us that they email the security company to erase these tickets, I hope this will prove to be true, but they obviously need to fix something here. Still, I recommend the property, and the staff was helpful and friendly..

we could not check in for a few hours but we were given a parking pass which we kept on the dashboard all night only to come out the next morning after checking out way before checkout time to see we had been given a ticket. REALLY NOT COOL.

My room the electrical curtain blinds thing was broken so we weren’t ever able to shut them

Convenient to University of Oregon. Washer and dryer are free. Hottub was nice.

Breakfast was so so.

The fitness center was pretty gross... sticky handles on all the machines. My handsoap was locked by one of the cleaning staff so I couldn't use my soap for a day. Poor staff at front desk was doing their best with poor resources. Also tub was scratched up and covered in yellowish stuff. Not a big deal...

This whole hotel had an overwhelming smell of chlorine and bromine from the indoor pool, all the way up to the 4th floor where we stayed. It gave us headaches and when I wrote to the hotel online, they said that someone in "management" would address this . The chemical smell was there for all 3 days that we were there.

Great value for the money

Clean rooms and comfy beds were just what we needed after a week camping. We loved that the pool was open late and that breakfast was open for a lengthy amount of time. And no rush for checkout since it wasn’t til noon! The pool was on the smaller side and the chlorine was strong, but the kids enjoyed it just the same.

Hotel was very clean and convenient to the university. Staff was helpful.

Good breakfast and friendly staff.

And I especially Loved the morning coffee. No dislikes
