Candlewood Suites Fairbanks by IHG

The room was fabulous. Had a suite with a kitchen and big work desk. Bed was comfortable and bathroom was nice size. Definitely would stsy here again and recommend. Couple of washers were flashing error codes and not working properly so had to wait longer for other machines.

Hotel was very nice. Big room with kitchen. Nice free do it yourself laundry service. Front desk staff were pleasant and helpful, shuttle drivers were very nice. Free shuttle to train station and airport, even for me to pickup the car rental and return. Only complaint was that they put us in first floor next to the entrance. Between getting used to the daylight and the sometimes loud noises out front, my wife had trouble sleeping.

Very nice property. Front staff was nice whatever hour we came in. Good complimentry coffee in the mornings. Shuttle from train depot and the airport very convenient.

We had to wait in the lobby for an hour before we could check in (computers were down). After 45 mins. of waiting, Mgr. came to front desk and informed us that required boiler maintenance was going on and there would not be hot water for the next several hours.NO ONE had mentioned it before that. Then, they charged my friend's credit card about $239...for no reason. At 1st they said it was a 'deposit', but they'd already put a $100 deposit charge on my credit card. Then they told her it had been an error. Needless to say, we will NOT be booking there again. The property did not, in my opinion, match the esthetic of the usual Wyndham property.

Everything was great with exception of the airport shuttle. It didn’t show up and apparently the night driver is not dependable. It was a significant ordeal to get to the hotel at 11:30 pm with two kids. Staff inside the hotel were great and tried hard.

Room was very clean. Very quiet place. Great staff. Near Walmart and restaurants.

Very friendly staff. Room was clean and relatively modern. Nice to have appliances that you can borrow for a more home cooking experience Jim has what you need: treadmill, elliptical, bike, cable system, mats for abdominal workouts, and a weight set convenient location to a liquor store, grocery store, gas station, etc. would stay there again.

We utilized the free guest laundry and appreciated it! The only thing I would suggest are black out curtains in the summer. The sunny nights made it difficult to sleep!

As weird as it sounds, the elevator efficiency was great. We never had to wait. They always keep an elevator on floors 1 and 3 so there is never a wait if you are on an upper floor. The hotel is conveniently located to a Walmart and 3 pizza places!

Very good location close to the railway station. Nice clean quite room.

It was clean, the staff were friendly, free laundry facilities and in room kitchen facilities (microwave, full size fridge, sink, coffee maker and hot plate). There wasn’t anything unlikable about the property.

Exceptional

Quiet, well appointed suite. Love the honor system shoppette, the gym, and free coffee. Comfy bed. Loved everything about this place.

The kitchen was great

Property was clean as were the rooms. Only issue was hard lumpy beds.
