Holiday Inn Express and Suites Fairmont by IHG

Very good

The hotel cancelled my reservation and did not notify me until I was there to check in. Even worse, they said they had refunded my money when in fact they had not. Be warned that reservations mean nothing and whatever you do, don't prepay for your stay.

Recent severe weather meant that the elevator was in manual mode. The lady at the front desk made us aware of this and helped us to our room and indicated that we could call the front desk for the elevator. This was much appreciated.

Staff were friendly

The elevators were not working. Either you had to take the stairs or wait for an employee to take you upstairs after they took another guest.

The elevator was not working during my entire stay. When I inquired when it would be fixed the staff had no clue. Hotel is very clean however the carpet on the stairs was fraid. Staff was very pleasant n helpful

Staff was great, room was very comfortable, property was recovering from major storm damage but staff made up for it. Good breakfast too—I may start booking for Holiday Inns just for the warm cinnamon rolls!

Nice staff and clean room

Breakfast ended at 9:30 and so we missed it. Should be open until at least 10 or 10:30

1.) Neither of the two elevators worked correctly. The front desk clerk had a key and could take you up or down on one of them. 2.) The previously good wifi dropped connections frequently and would also connect 'without internet' when it reconnected. 3.) Neither the pancake maker nor the juice machine worked at breakfast. The rest of breakfast was very good. 4.) Our room didn't have a bath mat on the first day, but the housekeeper got us one the second day. The good news here is that there IS housekeeping every day at this property. Way too many hotels are skimping on housekeeping as though the pandemic is still happening. The highlight of our stay was front desk clerk Lauryn, who did her best to mitigate the above, and she did it with charm. Her positive attitude and willingness to help are (sadly) hard to find in service people and we wish her well.

Even though the elevator was down. The staff was very helpful and kind.

The elevator was out due to circuit hit by lightning about three weeks ago. Lauren explained during check-in and had to use a key to take guests up and down her entire shift. She has the most friendly and positive attitude. When we went in our room, it had not been cleaned. Beds had been slept in but sheets were not changed nor made. Also, used towels on the bathroom floor. Called down to Lauren and she immediately came up to get us and put us in a 1st floor room, Morgan always had a smile and friendly greeting. It was so nice to come in or go out and stop and talk to him. On a scale from one to ten, ten being the highest, I would give Lauren and Morgan each an eleven!

Breakfast 24/7 free bottled water and fresh cookies on arrival. Clean well maintained pool, easy to find ice machines, clean everything! Morgan, front desk man was excellent. Jewel of an employee you got there in him. All staff pleasant and cheerful! Room spacious, quiet and very clean. Wonderful over all stay. A+++
