Grand Hotel Panama Firenze

The staff was friendly and the location was good. I like that it had a mini fridge and bathtub. Our A/C unit in the room barely worked. I was hot the entire time and it made it hard to sleep. Our room was a little run down. The mattress and bedding weren't very comfortable.

It included a little terrace Bed was only partially made and little space to hang towels. We were right at the lobby so it was a bit noisy.

The location was pretty far from everything. The rooms were a little dirty when we got there; we kept finding clumps of hair everywhere. When they cleaned our room the second day they didn’t take out the trash. I also found the rooms available cheaper the day of rather than what I paid for booking in advance. Staff were okay.

Great to have a parking spot - they helped guide us out of the tight parking spot! Amazing restaurant Il Clarinetto a 5 minute walk. We felt safe. There are a lot of one way streets and getting from the hotel entrance to the parking spot was a challenge, despite it being next door. It would have been nice if they had a map to help.

AC was horrible. Could not sleep all night due to heat, and an AC unit that hardly worked. Heatwave in Florence and bad AC made far an incredibly bad night. My adult kids had to try and sleep on the tile floor to get any relief from the heat. Get fans and replace your AC please!

The gentleman at the desk was very hospitalable, friendly, and attentive.

Location, free breakfast with sufficient options very good cleaning and overall very helpful service staff. Everyone was super helpful. They gave us plates to order in and another day we had an early morning train so they packed us breakfast even though breakfast time hadn’t started. There was only one cup in a 5 bedroom room. No chair. Only tea facilities, no coffee facilities (though the free breakfast had good cappuccino) so it suffices. Also, at-least some water facilities should be there in the hotel even if you are not giving free bottled water. Drinking Water is a basic facility. The bottled water were 4 euros for 2 lts and 2 euros for 1 lts which was very expensive.

It was located a quick walk from the tram station and only a block from a bus stop. We could easily get to the city center for tours, eating, and shopping. The manager and staff were friendly and helpful whenever we encountered them. We were required to leave the room key at the front desk whenever we went out. The housekeeping was minimal - floors were not cleaned (swept) daily and supplies were not replenished over our 5 night stay. The elevator was questionable, as it bounced when you entered and exited. The room s seemed crowded leaving me searching for a place to set my suitcase for opening.

The room was spacious and quiet. The bed was comfortable. The receptionist was helpful. The room smelled like mold and no breakfast.

This was absolutely the worst hotel I have ever been to and ruined the last night of our trip to Italy. There was NO human ever (and no "bell to ring for assistance") as the sign said. We didn't mind the room just had the basics and looked nothing like the photos, but the air conditioning wasn't working and with nobody on site, we had to leave and find another room on a Friday night in Florence. That of course put us far from city center so all we could do was stay in our room till flight next morning. I will be seeking reimbursement for this room charge that we did not use. Quite place We were charged for the breakfast and at the property they refused to serve breakfast. The AC and WiFi were not working.

To need to make a complaint regarding this hotel and I expect a reimbursement. 1) There is no front desk, there isn’t a person to do the check in, or anything. There is no machines to pay with card either. 2) There is no air conditioning and on the page it says there is. This hotel it says that if a 3 star hotel and it doesn’t even have a reception person. 3) There is no WiFi. They advertised WiFi and WiFi only works the 1st day. I told them about the WiFi issue and nothing was done. 4) Finally, there is no breakfast, and I paid for the breakfast so I expect that money to be refunded to me because there is no breakfast, none, nothing. Staff were lovely and great location. The shower is possibly the worst shower ever, poorly built that you can’t just wash your body you hair will get wet, the door is silly and you end up turning the shower off by just moving around. The breakfast wasn’t great, the breakfast staff bless her she was so lovely but could not make a cappuccino to save her life - worst coffee I had in Italy.

Good location, comfortable bed, overall clean and quiet room. No minibar even tho it was listed in the room description.

This hotel was a horror scene - there was a bloody handprint on the bed and the wall paper was peeling big time - the whole room stank of cigarette. I immediately checked into another hotel
