Hotel Giappone

The staff was so kind and showed us where everything was, even gave us a map to show us her favorite food spots and how to get to all the landmarks. Location has an amazing view of the streets and lively during the day, while quiet at night. 100% would stay here again.

I stayed here for 2 nights with my partner. The location was excellent - a very short walk to the duomo and about 8 minutes away from the train station. The facilities were lovely, clean and comfortable with working air con and bathroom was great. Staff were lovely and accommodating. Very steep stairs up to the property which were difficult with a case. This is expected in Italy with the nature of city.

Location, location, location. 5 minutes from the tram stop (airport and Villa Constanza links) and 3 minutes walk from the Cathedral. Room got AC, which works really well. This hotel is on the top floor, so after a long day of walking through Florence, there is still a final climb.

Clean and tidy. Staff were lovely. Lots of steps to get up to the hotel no lift.

The hotel upgraded my room free of charge, which I was very grateful for. The hotel is also only a 5-minute walk from the Florence Cathedral (Santa Maria del Fiore), which is visible from the street below. Most attractions are within walking distance of the hotel. The hotel is clean, the main entrance closes early in the evening, and the building is secure with a password entry. However, the air conditioner being positioned directly above the bed, and the fact that the summer blanket was just a single sheet, caused me to catch a cold on my first night, even though I had the air conditioner set to 26 degrees Celsius.

This property is right in the city center. Minutes from the train station and all shopping/attractions. Room was huge, street view, great shower! There is no elevator! 75 steps up… pack your bags accordingly.

The hotel is very clean, my room felt cozy and cute. Comfortable for a female solo traveller. There were a lot of stairs, so if you have a large suitcase like I did, good luck!
