Location was excellent

Great location and value for money! Beds were extremely comfortable. Perfect for a quick visit to Florence. Shops, restaurants, tram, key sites all in walking distance. Breakfast was simple but enough to get started. Each room also had a generous sized bar fridge and kettle (which is rarer and rarer these days). Decor also lovely in the hotel. The toilet bowel was loose from the ground which was slightly concerning. Needs to be fixed.

Location excellent - walking distance to everything. Loved the ambience of the hotel. Staff were great and nice to have breakfast included in our stay. Everything was great!

Very good

Very close to train station and all the main sites of Florence. It was close enough to pop in the afternoon and change clothes/ relax a bit before later afternoon activities. We had a 8am train and just wanted to quick cup of coffee at 7:25 before our departure. The breakfast lady would not let us have any until 7:30 even though she let a an Italian couple in to eat breakfast that had to leave early too. At 7:30 she still said 5 more minutes even though others were already in the room. I’m guessing it was just a language issue but it was kind of irksome.

Nice clean room with historic touch

The property is older. We had 5 rooms booked for a large group and while 4 of the rooms were great, one was very musty smelling.

Have stayed here multiple times, great location, good breakfast, A bit pricey

The location was great, the room comfortable and the breakfast fine. There was no rack in the shower to hold soap/shampoo.

Location Lake of staff

Dino at the front desk was great. Our room was spacious and fancy. Our room was over a very busy and noisy street with noises well into the early hours of the morning. If you were not the first ones at breakfast, the staff did not refill many of the items. While we had a superior room, the bathroom would only work for one person at a time as it was only two feet wide.
-
Rooms aren’t soundproof. Could hear everything outside in the middle of the night.

Only the location The woman that was at receptionist was very rude not able to welcome the guest at the hotel . To get to the room we had to change 2 lifts and walk through a labyrinth- it was difficult to find the room when we arrived the first time and the woman at the reception was helpless ( no desire to help at all ). The room had a fridge that was empty neither a bottle of water — i asked to reception for water and keen to pay for the water - I was told to go out to the bar to buy a bottle of water . The breakfast was really bad …

Close to city, easy walk from the train station, friendly woman at check in 1. Kitchen staff made us leave breakfast and our food because we arrived 15 minutes early so we could catch our train. We left our food behind. 2. Man at PM check in gave us one restaurant recommendation and said he had no others. Unfortunately, his recommended Restaurant was not open. 3. Room door did not lock from the inside and was difficult to get into from the outside.
-
Location The room doors could only lock with a key. Only one key was available. If one person left the room, they couldn’t lock the door behind them or the second person would be locked into the room and unable to escape in an emergency Our room had a sink protruding over the bed that I hit my head on several times When it got cold at night, there was no heat
-
Location and price Small bathroom. If you have a front room on street, street is main thereofare and well traveled and noisy.
-
Pricing. But again it’s the location
-
My bed was hard and my room faced the main street so it was very noisy.

Everything. Convenient walk from the train station. The beautiful Duomo is at the end of the street. So many beautiful sites within walking distance...Uffizi and Accademia, the Ponte Vecchio over the Arno River, the Piazzale Michelangelo where the beautiful panoramic view of Florence can be seen. There are so many dining options near the Hotel Martelli. The staff is kind and helpful. Very good breakfast. Love the decor in the public areas in the hotel. Nothing
