Hotel Palazzo Benci

Location was good to visit basilica Room 407 had poop smell. Up on contacting attendant did not want to change room. Alsoandro gave spray and said to spray in room. Never bothered to send anyone to see what problem was.

The breakfast was excellent and the team member service fantastic.

The air-conditioning struggled but lets put that down to climate warming induced by us.

Eccellente location very central. Clean and comfortable accommodations. Friendly attentive staff. A/C could have been much stronger.

Cozy and comfortable stay in the heart of Florence. The location is perfect with a variety of restaurants right outside the door.

The AC in the room wasn’t working well. But we were told by the staff that’s how all rooms are! Also bathroom seat had dirty stains on them, we tried to clean it ourselves but didn’t come off so we thought it was paint. 2 days later the house keeper was able to clean it off which means it wasn’t clean in the first place! Some of the staff were nice but some were not polite and rude! My husband and I went to get food at 9:30 (they stop serving at 10) so we had 30 min which is more than enough. The lady was very rude and told us it’s too late but then finally she let us grab a quick bite after we told her it’s not even 10 yet and we will be out quick! Very disappointed in our stay and would not recommend this to anyone. The one and only nice thing about it is the location! So not worth the money! Could’ve stayed at a much better hotel for this cost, and much cleaner!

The toilet didn’t flush properly and got clogged several times, so we had to call for assistance more than once. That said, they were always responsive and quick to help.

Very nice facility, excellent staff . Very full and excellent breakfast nice garden courtyard to sit in the location could not be better. Rooms were nice and fairly spacious. Would’ve liked to have more places to put clothing. There were no dresser drawers or anything to speak of.

Great location and very quiet

Convenient and close to city center. The windows are really quiet so you could sleep at night even in a busy street.

Location, facilities, staff

Location was perfect, close to everything yet not overly crowded. Easy <10 minute walk from SMN station, Il Mercato Centrale right around the corner, and museums, gardens, restaurants, and shops were all within a 20 minute radius. Even though it was a lively area, my room was quiet. Breakfast room was large and inviting with fresh pastries, fruit, vegetables, cheese, eggs, and meat every morning, plus a variety of coffee, tea, and juices. Also nice that there was a mini fridge in the room, pastries in the lobby after breakfast, and a pleasant courtyard. I would definitely stay here again! My room was tiny, but I didn't mind. As a single person traveling alone, I didn't need much space.

The size of the room.

Location, kitchen staff, reception all great. Mirror lacking in the room, as well as a few amenities, but other than that all was great.

Great location, very clean, helpful and friendly staff, good breakfast. As a solo female traveller, I was very comfortable in the accommodation and felt safe.

Staff was nice and helpful. Gave us a great room with a balcony.
