Room Mate Collection Isabella, Florence

The location was excellent, very central to most of the locations we were planning to see. We could be in Oltrarno within 8 minutes & Santa Croce within 15 minutes. The Hotel is opposite Strozzi Palace in a very lovely & exclusive shopping precinct. We were allocated Room 401, which faced Strozzi Palace, luckily the room had heavy drapes to block the street lighting. Complimentary water both flat & fizzy were refreshed daily, the space had a Nespresso coffee maker, complimentary snacks & bathroom supplies. The hairdryer was a Dyson, lovely! The bed was large & very comfortable. Breakfast was included & was very well prepared with lots of options. The Hotel Staff were delightful & very helpful. Only one drawback, you do have to use stairs to access the building but an elevator is available once inside. No, the stairs cannot be completely avoided. Staff were onsite to assist with luggage. The plumbing in our bathroom gurgled a bit. It didnt bother us though, as it couldnt be heard if the bathroom door was closed.

This is a really outstanding hotel--and I say this as a person who has travelled to dozens of countries and has stayed in dozens of hotels. The location is ideal, on a fashionable street very close to the old city centre; the staff were friendly and helpful; the AC worked very effectively and was surprisingly quiet, and the breakfast was decent and not over-priced. The room was large and spacious and extremely clean. Best of all, it was superb value for money, even though I booked it very late and at the peak of the summer tourist season!

We visited the hotel in the end of May 2026 and stayed in a Deluxe Double room and loved it. The room is very spacious, beautifully decorated and equipped, a very comfortable, large bed, and a working A/C. The location is perfect, right in the middle of the old town close to all the main attractions, yet quiet enough to relax. Breakfast is served as a buffet in the common area, which is also beautifully decorated and very cozy. The breakfast was delicious, the waiter very friendly and attentive and we got everything we needed. But the best part was the receptionist (Alessandra), she was amazing! We felt very welcome, received good tips and advice, help booking restaurants and just a very friendly aura from her. Lastly, we traveled as a gay couple in our early 30s and felt safe, welcome and had a great time. Everything was great.

Prime location, literally in the city centre. You can easily walk all florence landmarks. Rooms are newly renovated and comfy. Excellent room service. Air conditioned which is a very big bonus during hot weather . Breakfast needs improvement, but fair for the current price. A bit pricey, but this the average for upper ranked 4 stars hotel in the heart of florence. You need to climb few steps to the reception, it was ok with me and my young family, but may not suit elderly people or people with disability.

Everything was Excellent Nothing , except the elevator is quite old and doesn’t go all the way to the ground floor, you must use the stairs to get to reception.

EXCEPTIONAL in every way!!!! Wish I could have stayed longer. This hotel deserves 10 stars!!!
