No lift, mini fridge is not cold enough

Everything was clean and staff were super friendly. There is nothing I can recall that I disliked.

No elevator but the staff was so helpful carrying up and down that we barely noticed

Easy to get to, close to transportation. Very friendly staff and they let us store our luggage all day as we had a late departure time.

The location of the place was great and the room itself was pleasant. I did not like how far away the “private” restroom was from the room itself. I did not like the host as she was very rude and snooped around quite a lot failing to let any guests truly feel comfortable, at one point we found our “private” restroom with someone else’s keys in it and left wide open. She also has an insane list of rules in the room that are completely dumbfounding such as “do not leave water droplets on the floor in the restroom”.

Location of facility was good. Food, museums, galleries were in easy walking distance. Many good eateries close. Other guests tried several times to mistakenly enter my room, I guess they could not read numbers on their key. It was a bit noisy during the early night. Bed was lumpy. Overall OK.

minutes’ walk from the train station. The room was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Our host was incredibly kind and helpful, making our stay even more special. Highly recommended!

Location was great. We could leave our bags there before check in times. Bathroom had a sewer like smell. Very, very disappointing breakfast. All packaged stuff laid out on a table, no place to sit for breakfast. And it was advertised as ‘good breakfast’!. Bed was hard and uncomfortable.

Property conveniently located to train station and historical city center. Host was pleasant and explained things carefully. Room was clean, appointed and comfortable. Though room came with a private bath, it was not en suite. You had your own key to the bathroom so others would not use it. We made it work and we did fine.

Had a lot of mosquitoes. We got so many bites after one night here. The water takes forever to warm up and the hot water on lasts 10 minutes and then turns cold again.

Maria, the host was great!!! She really cared about her guests.. The lack of communication was a little frustrating. We didn't realize that having a "private bathroom" meant it was shared by others staying there and not located inside your room. Not all rooms are set up that way.. but the issue had nothing to do with the host..Maria

It was fairly quiet, the noice from the streets wasn't too noticable if you kept windows closed It was advertised as middle of the city, but no where was it mentioned that you had to climb 50+ stairs to get to your room. No lift!!! No breakfast, just cold cookies.

Comfortable accommodation at a perfect location, minutes from the train station and the duomo. The place was quite dark and the bathroom is poorly ventilated.

Poor communication. Unclear check in procedure.

Recommended a restaurant next door with the name Katti in it's title and turned out to be very good. Recommend the carbonara. Location was near the train station. They had no elevator but said there'd be help. She was a "Nonna", grandma like me. 46 steps. Used skeleton keys for the room and the bathroom which was yards away down another hallway. Told there was no one else on the floor but felt there was, so we locked everything. My daughter said she almost peed her pants trying to get to the bathroom and getting the door unlocked in the middle of the night! We were over maybe a bar and she heard accordion music and started taking a video to record it. We saw orbs in the room! A little freaked because these places are old. Nonna, unbeknownst to us, got us a cab to leave early in the morning. She went looking for my daughter IN the bathroom and to get her out and said "Come on! He's waiting". My daughter was shocked to have her come in the bathroom but we got a good laugh out of it thinking, that's a real Italian "Nonna" for you, treating us just like her kids. Nice lady.

Terrible experience; the owner was not friendly and easily apprehended. Building smelled, hallways, rooms, all smelled like mold and not sanitary. Beds were terrible, mattresses were covered with a thick plastic that made noise and got us sweaty. There was no side tables lamps, turning off the light meant get out of bed to turn off the room’s light. Refrigerator made noise at all times and sleeping was impossible. The owner left only one towel for each person for 3 nights stay!! Asked her to provide more and she argued that “ everything was expensive in Florence and gave us a lecture as in how we are supposed to hang our towels to dry instead of using a new clean ones every day. There was no shelf in the shower ; that means bend down to pick up our shampoo etc. she left a tiny bottle of shampoo and body wash , never renewed after each day. She would get in our room to clean and never locked it back, so we would return and find our room unlocked. Room smelled , at night we heard insects in the room, and under our beds. The room was on 3 rd floor and no elevator which we were prepared for, but the entrance door needed a hard kick to open. Scary experience when we tried to get out and the key wouldn’t open the entrance then we called the owner, she came and angrily kicked to door and said this is how it gets opened. Had she not answered the call, we were trapped inside. She kept insisting that we had to pay the tax cash!! Not legal! Stay away. The street this place is located at has no access to the taxi. So be prepared to walk with your suitcases to get to the main road. There is a lady named Barbara working at the restaurant downstairs, she was lovely and very helpful.
