My wife and two teen granddaughters had a wonderful three night stay at the end of May. It was a great experience and we can highly recommend it. I first have to say I am not a fan of B&Bs or Florence for that matter but this visit changed my mind. Location: Perfect. Five minutes walk to the Arno, ten minutes to the Ponte Vecchio, Ufizi and Piazza della Signoria. Fifteen minutes to Duomo and twenty to the Academia. If you are coming from the train or bus station I would suggest a taxi. Host. Ricardo is a remarkable young man and host. He is always around and ready to help. He even prepares a simple but tasty breakfast. He is from Florence and his enthusiasm is evident. The building has a nice eclectic atmosphere. Decades ago, someone had covered up the old bricks. Ricardo uncovered the original arches and features hidden for years. So the room does have a lived in look which works very well here. Cleaning was very important during our stay. It is a very high priority. The B&B front door is on the side walk. You ring the doorbell and Ricardo lets you in. After that first time you have a key. On the left side is a car garage. On the right is a nice leather shop. ( we received a decent discount on a nice belt because we were “neighbors”. ) Thirty feet away is a wonderful restaurant. (Suggested by Ricardo). We ate there all three nights enjoying a good deal of their menu. After walking through the doors you are faced with steps. There is no lift. If stairs are an issue, it is something to consider. Ricardo being ever helpful did assist us with our luggage. Our two rooms met our needs very well. We had the yellow room. The beds were comfortable. The bathrooms and showers functioned as a they should which is not always the norm in older buildings. The air conditioner was needed and performed well. The room our two teens occupied, the blue room, had the beds in a row, not side by side. So it did afford them some needed private space. Nothing, but the stairs my be an issue for some others.

Perfect location just far enough away to get a quiet nights sleep but still very close to everything Nothing, everything was great

Family owned by proud Florentines, the hotel is cozy and has the personal touch. I think Ricardo is there all the time and loves his work. We talked a lot and I felt well cared for as a single, elderly woman traveler. He recommended several restaurants and even a particular dish.

Everything was perfect including very kind owners, a very good breakfast with a smiling faces :), cleanliness of the rooms

Lavinia and Ricardo are the best hosts. Super friendly, carried out very huge luggage upstairs, booked cabs for us, and offered a whole slew of recommendations for things to do in the city. Breakfast always had great pastries and they made a great cappuccino. Would definitely recommend anyone stay here!

Perfect location.

Riccardo was extremely hospitable, as was Ronny(?), who filled in for him on Sunday. Location was excellent and breakfast was great! Room was narrow, with little space for clothing that didn’t belong on hangars.

Location and friendly host family/staff Nothing. It was all good

I’ve stayed in Florence many many times and this is one of the best locations. There was nothing g I didn’t like.
-
Everything was great ! I left early and came back late , but you can always make tea or coffee in the kitchen and there were fresh pastries on the table .Thank you for that ! I liked everything

The property was extremely charming, very conveniently located so I could return any time of day if I needed to drop things off or grab something I had forgotten, and was very cozy! The room was spacious, the bathroom was spacious, everything was clean and comfortable! It’s a wonderful space. Nothing! I loved all of it.

The owners were so friendly and sweet. Ricky was thorough in showing us things to do and places to eat on his paper map. Such a lovely place to stay while in Florence. I would absolutely recommend them. I didn’t like that I had to leave! I could have lived there. I liked everything at B&B La Casa dei Tintori!

Breakfast was delicious! A variety of pastries, yogurt, bread, fruit, juice and cappuccino. A beautiful, quiet oasis in the heart of Florence. We walked to Uffizi, Accademia, Ponte Vecchio...everywhere. The owners were tremendously helpful. Perfect as is.

The breakfast was great! The owners went out of their way to make sure you had what you needed! They made fresh coffee & made sure we had juice as well as other breakfast foods! They also were cordial & friendly to their guests! We can’t think of anything in particular we didn’t like!

The host couple were friendly and very helpful. The location was perfect, walking distance to everything. The building is older; however our bed was comfortable and we had had everything we needed. The breakfast was satisfying. We enjoyed the fresh bakery items.
