The hotel was exceptionally clean. The location was close to sights but quiet. Staff were wonderful! Very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The included breakfast is lovely and presented in a beautiful dining area with adjoining courtyard.

Location, location, location. Showers were tiny and tv streaming didn’t work with iPhones.

The room was generous size, as was the bathroom. The bed was comfortable. The outside terrace for breakfast was very nice. The location was great, everything was just a 10 minute walk from the hotel. The staff were very responsive, friendly and helpful. Being an old building, there are multiple levels, or half levels. Our room could not be accessed without climbing some stairs.

Nothing really. Just a small suggestion: have Kleenex in the room. We had to ask for a box.

I had a room at the front of the property, if you are looking for little more quiet in this location by the Duomo, Accademia,,, asks for room towards the back.

Florence was one of four destinations on our tour through Italy, and Il Guelfo Bianco was better than all the others in every way. Our room was huge and in great shape. The shower was spacious. The bed was comfortable. And best of all, we didn't hear any noise from the street or adjacent rooms, so our sleep was restful. It's located within walking distance of everything we wanted to do and see in Florence. The breakfast area was our favorite of all the hotels we stayed in. They offered a great variety of fresh food. If I had to think of one thing I didn't like...nope, can't do it. I loved everything about Il Guelfo Bianco.

Location and accommodation

The hotel is a great location! All our tour meeting spots were right nearby and we could walked to everything! The rooms are nice sized (we did a junior suite). The courtyard was a great place to relax at the end of the day. Our room was on the back side of the property so it felt very quiet, even though we were in the heart of the city. The furniture was a little worn, but was clean and comfortable. The room size was great, however!

No need to nit pick.

We enjoyed our stay. The staff were excellent particularly the front desk and the breakfast staff. Our room had poor WiFi connection. We were told it was due to the location in the hotel but that didn’t help us since we had to leave the room to be connected. Otherwise everything was great.

Great location for seeing everything in Florence. Very walkable location just down the street from the Duomo, but in a quiet area. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Tram T2 from the FLR airport is a few blocks away for $1.70 per person. Staff are the best; from your front desk staff (Lisa and others) to your male breakfast staff (sorry, didn't get your name). Breakfast was varied with hot items like good eggs, ba on, sausage, potatoes and breads, cold cuts and cheese. We would definitely stay here again! Everything was perfect!

The hotel is 2 blocks from the Duomo and the Academia museum. The breakfast was delicious and diverse with coffee, tea and, proseco available all day. We enjoyed eating on the patio. The staff could not have been more attentive. They guided us in our stay.
