Marco LaGuardia Hotel

Unfortunately we didn’t get to experience much of the amenities because we just need a place to sleep do to an overnight flight. But it seem like a nice hotel, I would stay there again.

Overall the hotel was good. The room was ok. I think for almost $400 a night it could have been renovated.

Room was large and clean, it was in a very walkable area. The airport shuttle runs every thirty minutes and was very easy to schedule. The staff was kind and helpful. There are many great restaurants around and the area seemed quite safe.

Quick nights rest but everything was efficient and comfortable.

We loved the fact that the room had a full stove and sink we cooked everyday that we were there. Full dining area and sitting area for TV, and a desk for work if that is what you need to do. The room was clean and if you want housekeeping they come every morning and they are very thorough. The hotel location was super convenient a 2 minute walk to the #7 train, a few minutes drive to Roosevelt Island, and a few minutes drive into Manhattan. Lots of stores and a mall is close by only a 10 minute walk. Now the one thing that keeps me from giving a higher rating was noise! The walls seemed to be paper thin! Every time someone took a shower or flushed the toilet the most horrible sound screeched through our room. We thought someone was in our room! Disturbed our sleep multiple times everyday that we were there. We are not sure if another room would have been peaceful or if the walls are just thin. Also, parking is $30 extra per day we did not use onsite parking we used street parking which is all around the hotel we never had trouble finding parking.

The hotel is very clean and the 2 room suite provided more than enough space for my family of five. The front desk staff were all very pleasant and helpful. We opted to self park and pay meter given the hotel parking does not permit in and outs. Recommend that the suites with full kitchen provide cooking utensils( pot, pans, toaster) as well as a TV in the living room space. All in all, we had wonderful stay utilizing the gym as well as laundry facilities during our stay.

I was very impressed. They upgraded my room, too. If they had not done that and I had gotten the small room I had booked, it may have been a little cramped for the price. But I think they would have only stuck me there if they were sold out, so for NY where nice space is at a premium, if the time had been that busy, I think I would have considered even the small room a value. Unless you require everything to be luxurious or don't value amenities above a decent motel, this place is as close to perfect as you get.
