Friendly staff and bigger rooms; good breakfast; nice little bar area Hard to locate

Location and staff AC was not working well and they changed our room
-
Hotel location was excellent in center of town, with easy walk to Fontainebleau Chateau and gardens, restaurants & shops. Our room faced onto courtyard, with large windows & wqs wonderfully quiet for restful night's sleep. All was fine.

The staff is wonderful! We needed to change our room from the first floor, which is quite dark, which the staff did for us -- gave us a lovely room on the third floor. LOVED the open window, the LIGHT, super comfy queen bed, and the breakfast/brunch is fantastic -- best we have ever been offered! The dining room also has a small library, and the location is perfect. Staff is very cheerful and forthcoming about best restaurants, etc. 10% discount at WONDERFUL day spa, Le Spa Oïa, just half a block down. The spa manager, Catherine, is awesome; she is very kind and elegant, and speaks English. Parking was a bit crazy -- it's in a lot across the street, so you have to take luggage through the garage, up an elevator, and across the street into the hotel. They do validate parking, I think it was about $15 a day, not bad. The lot is VERY tight.

I surprised extended of reservation can’t be canceled
-
Room temperature. Even though the AC was at maximum cooling setting is was still extremely warm. Sweated throughout the night even with a standing fan helping air circulation
-
Room was too dark, walls painted in black!!!

We stayed for one night and the location was excellent. The Château de Fontainebleau is just across the road from the hotel, making it incredibly convenient to visit. It was also lovely to stroll through the town centre and browse the shops. The bed was too soft.

All great Nothing

Didn’t like the non renovated rooms. Make sure to book in the renovated wing or you will be disappointed.

Big room and super breakfast
-
Excellent location. Very close to the Chateau and parking
-
Location No room service as chef was on holiday! Walk coverings (papers) fabric type with traces of damp underneath

Extremely clean and in a great location. Lots of amenities and restaurants near by. Really in the heart of Fontainebleau. The hotel charged us €50 per person per day security which was taken which was never heard of. For 3 nights stay a sum of €300 was added on top of the room charge from the credit card. It was not mentioned on the description and were taken by surprise. The city tax was also not mentioned at the beginning until we checked out.

The location was amazing to take in the chateau and the gardens. It was a great location for restaurants and to just walk around town. The staff was courteous and helpful in every way. Every person we dealt with went above and beyond and were happy and cheerful in each interaction. There was nowhere to drop bags or to do pickup when it was time to leave. The parking garage was under the hotel, but we had quite a few bags to move and it became quite an affair. It’s not the hotels fault, be ready to hump your bags.

Outdated and needs serious facelift. The furniture and fixtures are old and worn out
-
Very nice staff The A/C was not working properly and they compensated us with free breakfast
