Hotel Belle Fontainebleau

Central location, affordable price, friendly staff, awesome breakfast. Only major item was the small table with lamp on the narrow landing of first floor - an invitation to disaster and injury for travellers with sizeable luggage and children. See attached photos. Management was made aware of problem. Travellers who want quiet after 11 pm should know about the young people in town congregating for a drink in the six bars around the corner until after midnight. Finally, shower sliding door opens only one way, from left to right, forcing guests to graze the sharp metal edges of the towel rack at eye level.

The bed was comfy and the staff were nice. The location is excellent. Right by the castle and a short walk to everything in the city center. Also very close to the bus stop. It would be excellent for a one night stay. It was too barebones. I could’ve used a hand towel. The shower didn’t drain properly. The water didn’t get above lukewarm. It was cold and unpleasant outside, but it was also very cold in the room and the shower was cold. There was no escape from the cold. Also, the WiFi was too weak to work in the room.

The location The room was extremely small like a cell. It was very basic. The shower was old. Checkout is too early. All of this for that price!

The hotel is very close to the Chateau, 3 mins walk. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The place is very cozy. The room was very clean. Breakfast was great.

Simple nice hotel in the heart of the city. Rooms while a bit dated, are comfortable and good enough. The location is great for both the castle and restaurants.

Perfect location, very good value.

Right in the heart of everything. Balcony overlooking the street. No frills, just a room with bed and bathroom. No coffee, fridge or microwave except in the lobby. For use this was fine, one night with no frills. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. It's basic. Just a room with bed and bathroom.

Incredible welcoming and location as we are right on the town centre. The owners are absolutely wonderful, welcoming and helped me carrying my suitcases to our room for my hands were full with the children and we had travelled all day. The breakfast was perfect and the whole place felt extremely homely. 10/10 from us as everything flew so lightly in spite of being alone with the children. The rooms were comfortable and we could not hear any noise outside in spite of being in the town center. We were warm enough and the facilities were immaculate. Perfect for young families and couples. Maybe a tiny challenging as there are steps to climb up to get to the rooms so not advised for elder people who suffer from climbing up or downstairs. Only the stairs to get to the room can be a challenge for some guests and this should be mentioned on the website when booking the room.
