It was a great traditional ryokan! The building is outdated, but it gives it a charm. We ended up not getting the shuttle because we didn't get an answer from the hotel.

Location and they provide shuttle service to kawaguchiko station No microwave and we have to pay extra for public bath either we use it or not.

Proximity to the train station, Lake Kawaguchiko, the Rope gateway ( although it was closed for repair), shops, restaurants and Family Mart. Love the decor, room was comfortable and the onsen was delightful. The age of the hotel was showing

We found a very comfortable Ryokan and kind staff. They do their best efforts for helping us as many times as we need. Onsen is unforgettable experience and breakfast too.

The location is excellent, with a view of the mountains, and the lake. The staff were courteous, and hot tub facility was excellent. The hotel is located a bit farther away from the train station, but they did have a shuttle to do the drop off. For the check in we had to take a taxi, since we arrived outside of the shuttle operating hours.

The yukata, hot water/tea in the room, and breakfast were all amazing. The ryokan was within walking distance of the station, and they also had a shuttle if needed. The baths were clean, hot, and relaxing. They had a great selection of amenities for the guests to use. Upon checking into the ryokan, I felt a little disregarded as the staff wasn't speaking directly to me. Even though I was the one who booked the stay and had initiated the conversation. Minor inconsistency, but it did not affect the stay.

The breakfast was delicious. I was very happy to see that the place was just across the street from the lake. The room and the overall facilities were clean and well decorated. I feel like the outdoor baths could have been warmer.

The location is very convenient, right in front of Lake Kawaguchiko which is 5 mins walk from the Ropeway. There are a few bicycle rental shops nearby to rent and cycle around the area. The room is clean, comfortable, and a good experience a Ryokan stay. Would definitely come back to stay again. None.

Staff was amazingly professional and kind. I ended up deciding to still add the breakfast and dinner and glad I did. I've experienced so many unknown dishes and it was all wonderful. The onsen was also very relaxing.

    Nothing

Great location, close to the bus station. Like the onsen! Wifi is sometimes slow

The Japanese breakfast was great and even tried the natto and was delicious. I don't like natto, so I was surprisingly good here. Probably because of pollen season. I was with allergy thaf I couldn't stop sneezing at night. I will try to be in a different season to see if it was the reason and not the dust.

Facility and staff Had trouble reaching hotel for requesting free station shuttle pick up service

Enfrente del lago y muy cerca del cable car.

pretty good onsen, also has outdoor bath in mans section, rooms were spacious with separate door to bedroom and toilet didn’t feel like very clean maybe just looks little used

The ryokan is lakeside, close to the station, ropeway and sightseeing boat. The traditional Japanese breakfast was excellent and filling. The onsen was great. Our 11 year old boys loved the experience. Unfortunately I don’t like sleeping on the floor and the futons were thin. I was grateful there were extra futons in the closet that I could use for extra padding. They provide shuttle service to the station which is helpful if you have a lot of luggage. Nothing

Lack of a dry or wet sauna. Also no view, or attractive scenery for the hot bath area.

  • Engine customer Mar 2026

Lovely place, right in front of the lake. The staff are lovely. Gave a shuttle bus for free to the station and back. Rooms are clean and authentic Nothing

The rooftop onsen and the traditional style rooms, breakfast, and outfit are a unique experience with a lakeside view, and a short walk away from an amazing view of Mount Fuji The room is too humid and things on the drying rack didn't dry overnight and had to be blown dry

Staff immediately greet you at the door and take your luggage. The convenience was also great, there were tons of food places everywhere to try and everything wasn’t far from each other. It’s not really crowded in the area, though it gets busy. The rooms are very cozy! Theres a really nice Onsen too that switches so you can to experience both. Staff was very friendly and understanding. You better be very kind to them!! The rooms were a nice size, along with a beautiful view of the mountains. Thin walls, can hear a lot. But not a deal breaker at all honestly. Around 10am-3pm we heard what sounded like construction sounds but it was silent past that time. WiFi is very weak and hard to maintain. If you are on the second floor be prepared to hear sounds from outside the door since it is the dining hall floor.
