The breakfast was tasty and fulfilling. There's an onsen inside the hotel that you can use for your party up to 30 minutes.

Cheap and cheerfull

Nice room, nice private onsen that can be used for free for about half an hour. The staff was very friendly and gave us some great tips on where to go to see Mount Fuji.

Great location, a block away from the lake. 10 min walk to the station, close to shops and restaurants. We were able to leave the luggage before our check-in to go and explore the city. The lady at check-in was extremely nice, she gave us a tour and all the instructions. You can use the onsen for free and it's private. The room felt super authentic, like an old traditional japanese washitsu, with the futons, tea table, etc. One window had direct view to the Fuji. Cleanliness in shared areas, like the lavatory, was not great. Also maintenance of the facilities in general. Looks a bit abandoned. The toilets had a funny smell and, even though it's okay, the onsen is not the nicest/prettiest. It was a bit tricky that sometimes no one was in the lobby. It happened when we arrived with the luggage and when we wanted to do our check in too. They didn't provide kimonos for the onsen and the towels were tiny, you had to use a bunch to get dry haha

Everything. Even the staff were considerate! She gave us the view of Mount Fuji which blew us away! Nothing. Everything exceeded our expectations.

The room was massive, beautiful, and clean. The location was within walking distance to restaurants and cafes, and the beautiful lake. There is only one bath area and whilst everyone has complete privacy I did end up having to wait a while to use it. I also didn't see a microwave so I don't know if that's provided but I never asked.

Room - cozy, futron was nice, slept deeply despite the spring cold at 1 degree celcius Breakfast - remarkable! Delicious & healthy Bathroom - great, heat was working great too. Nothing

Staff were welcoming and friendly. This was more like a hostel in terms of facilities. Everything was shared. Toilets and bathrooms were not gender separated, and sometimes, it was necessary to wait for the shower to be free. The room and futons did not smell great.

View of Fiji and Lake Kawaguchi from my specific room, although I was outside most of the time, that was the perfect end to my day when noticing that! The hosts are very sweet and attentive when you are checking in and then they offer you privacy unless you need something, then they are available! The shower/bath area was very clean and I showered early so I did not have to wait. It’s very quiet, very good sized room, lots of food options nearby and heating worked well. Overall I had a very lovely stay.

Location was fab, hosts were super friendly and the ryokan was very clean. We loved the traditional Japanese feel to it, and the onsen was clean and nice and hot! Really good price to get everything you need.
