We rented for 3 days. Upon arrival, the attendant informed me that there is no room service. If I need clean towels I have to come down and get clean towels and I have to change out my trash. When I proceeded to go to my room the hotel started to have this mildew smell and it was getting stronger. As I entered my room it was really bad. Bathroom ceiling had mildew mold. Seems like they just paint over the mold. No soap. We had to take the bottle to get it refilled. I asked hotel for a refund because we were leaving a day before. My grandson started coughing cause of the mold in the room but they refused to refund. I would not recommend this place to no one. We paid $110 a day but it was not worth us breathing mildew mold. I felt hike all they cared was $. Not customer service being La Quinta usually they have a better reputation and that’s why I booked it, but I guess I was wrong. I still don’t understand how they’re still in business.

The bed was comfortable.

Not as great as it used to be. Needs some updating. We liked the convenient location but disappointed in upkeep.

The pool was nice and the breakfast was good. Unfortunately that was the only good thing. The mildew smell was horrible and the air conditioner was so loud it kept us up at night. I would never stay at this hotel again!!

There wasn’t any body wash as toiletries. Breakfast very poor

For a LaQuinta, this location was disappointing. While WiFi is offered, good luck getting a signal. They have “smart” TVs that offer Netflix and Prime, but the signal strength is so bad you can’t use it. Our biggest complaint was with the breakfast. No options whatsoever. They put out dry muffins, about three loaves of sliced bread, and then poorly made eggs (or I should probably say, “heated up” since we know they didn’t cook it). No bagels, only one fruit option, just blah. Kids did like the waffles. Overall, not a good LaQuinta. We will definitely not be staying here again.

The halls and elevators smelled like urine, my tv had a huge crack in it and the color had purple tint. Front desk never answered the phone was not at the desk a lot.

The TV didn't work and the phone didn't work.

I’m an intelligent man, I don’t need to be talked to like a child by an ass hole at the front desk..We are not from Galveston, we know nothing about Galveston, the address in the GPS had us on the other side of Galveston in the middle of the street…from that point forward, the stay was fine. Now that I know where and how to get to the sea wall and now I know to put the W on the end of the address, the location made a lot more sense. The room was fine though. I’d say the award winning breakfast was overrated though, the waffles were fine, but the other cooked food wasn’t very good.

It was clean and seemed to be a little newer. The air conditioner did not work well. It did not remove moisture from the air and everything stayed very wet in the room. The dryer was broken in the hotel so we weren’t able to even dry anything.

Fantastic location, good breakfast, ample parking, clean rooms.

The staff was knowledgeable and helpful. The breakfast was well done. The bathroom was very nice. I loved the shower. The bed was comfortable. I slept well. It wasn't noisy, despite many people being there. And if you are going for the beach, the location is great. The price is reasonable for what you get. The room was damp and musty. The smell got into anything that was close to the air conditioner. It was dark. It has plenty of lamps, but no overhead lighting.

It being walking distance from the beach is not the only good thing about this place. Theres a walmart across the street if you need any necessities or snack for the beach. They also rotate the breakfast food like how the eggs were made and having sausage, patty, or ham depending how long you stay! I understand not having housekeeping if you don’t stay more that 4 nights. But keep in mind you’re next to the beach and some people come in dirty and now your shower feels grainy and dirty. Our trash is full given the fact theres an extra bag but i have a baby it got full of diapers with the amount of times i had to change them.

Central west Seawall location. Hotel was clean and comfortable. A burnt out light and no bath soap in room. Lack of dinner options.
