Clean, comfortable, and in the heart of Gent!

Accommodating and nice, great rooms .

The waiting area was large and beautiful. Having water available on hot days was welcome. The size of our room was good. There was mold in our shower and our room had a moldy odor. Our check-in was 30 minutes late (3:30). This was a problem as I emailed ahead of time asking for a check-in earlier than the standard 3:00 time. We watched people go to their rooms 90 minutes before we could. As we flew overnight, we were exhausted. I paid extra for a special welcome gift to celebrate our 30th anniversary. We got 4 small chocolates and room spray, which did not smell very good. This was not worth the money. In fact, part of the lateness for our room, was to arrange "the special gift." The handle of the bathroom door was missing from the inside. The safety bar in the tub was loose. When I complained, I got a second room spray.

I chose this hotel because of how professional it looked and its location. I was pleased that it is so central in the city but stays relatively quiet despite being just off a large plaza that had a few large cathedrals near by. One night I stayed, Belgium won a match in the World Cup and even with people celebrating near by it was quiet in the room, which faced the front entrance. The room I booked was the most inexpensive they had, but was not short on amenities, including even having an iron and ironing board in the room which I found very nice. The bed was clean and comfortable, as well as having ample space to stretch out around the room, the bathroom was large and clean too. The hotel also provided a complimentary coupon for a drink at the bar which was a welcome surprise. Getting to the hotel is easy, its not too far from a tram stop, and there are many restaurants and cafes close by. It was quick to get to the local train station which was great as I used a day to visit Bruges (and after visiting Bruges, I'm happy to have stayed in Ghent instead) The staff was very friendly, spoke perfect English. checking in and out was very simple, not a problem at all. I really enjoyed my stay! A very small thing to note, but the shower has a partially open design which does not keep water completely in, and a door or curtain would have been preferable for me personally to keep water off of the floor of the bathroom. Additionally, to flush the toilet, one must push the button to do so with a bit more force than you would initially think, or it will only partially flush. A non-issue after the first time it happened and I knew what to expect.

Parking was very expensive

Excellent location for sites and wide choice of dining and shopping options. Very clean. Friendly, helpful staff. Nothing. It was wonderful.

My room was dirty when I arrived the table had stains on it and hair/dust on the tables & furniture. The lady at the front desk just said "ok" do you want us to clean it. That's nuts, Yes and you should at least apologize. Never heard from management after asking for a call back. For breakfast a hotel this size offers instant decaf (not good). For what I paid I expect some decent coffee.

Location, room comfort, infused water in the lobby, reception staff, cleaning staff. While the breakfast buffet did have options I was disappointed when they stopped offering hard boiled eggs. I’m not a fan of wet, sloppy scrambled eggs or a wet sloppy omelet. Fortunately there were other protein options.

Location was great AC could be better. Every room should have a mini fan to keep air moving.

Right next to the central tourist district. Clean, comfortable rooms.

location is amazing -- right by the square, which is beautifully lit up at night-- lots of dining options, everything reachable by foot. Parking available at the hotel underground.

This is my second time staying at an NH property and both times it exceeded my expectations. The location was superb and the quality of service and the lovely and spacious room and bathroom were amazing. Great bathroom products and a very good breakfast. I would definitely stay at an NH in Ghent or anywhere.

Excellent location. Staff seemed very friendly. Check in time was later than hoped for. Arrived early, and they stored the bags, but other guests, who had arrived hours later than us, were being checked in. Still had to wait until after 3pm

Modern, the location is perfect, and the food was delicious and has variety of options. Check in late thought i was in the hotel before 3 pm however i got the room ready after 3 o’clock. The room service wasn’t good i have requested a slipper once i checked in and it came after 5 hours.
