It was close to downtown. Attic window with parcial view, 4th floor on an tiny staircase and because of the heat wave it was a bit hot.

Great location.

It didn’t bother us but the stairs might be an issue for some. I found it part of the charm.

The breakfast was good and sufficient. Very welcoming staff. Very steep stairs mainly if you have a big luggage. Towels, sink and toilet lid were old enough.

Friendly staff and an excellent city-centre location. Breakfast was nice and standard for a B&B. The room had everything we needed. Overall, a very good choice for a short stay. The stairs leading to the rooms are very narrow and steep, which may be difficult for guests with mobility issues.

Amazing location, very kind personnel, and clean&spacious room! Great value for money for a weekend in Ghent with a full fulfilling breakfast?? We were on the very last floor, but that was not a problem at all and the stairs were relatively normal for Belgian/Dutch standards.

We didn't liked the stairs going to our room. They put us on the 3rd floor and we had heavy luggages to carry unto the very narrow staircase. I counted the landing it's total 5 or 6 landing steps. There's a very high risk for falling. Breakfast is very minimal. Just 2 kinds of bread, 1 egg and 1 bacon if you order, few cheese and juices. We also didn't liked the bathroom. There's not a lot of hooks to hang your towel and shelving to put on your toiletries.

It was great being in a restaurant & terrace complex, and as well as enjoying the large and tasty breakfasts, we took an evening meal (delicious!) and sat outside people-watching over a beer on the other evening before heading out. Our room was large and very comfortable, and the staff were lovely; it’s an excellent location for exploring historic Ghent. The vertiginous flights of stairs were a bit hairy (for oldsters like us!), but they kindly offered to take our bags up and down for us which helped a lot.

We had the attic room. It's a very old building and the very many stairs to the top were narrow and treacherous both for going up and coming down. We decanted our luggage into small bags and only took up what we needed. As the staircase was so narrow, large bags or suitcases would have been a struggle. When we went to bed, the mosquitos came out to play and I had a few bites the next morning!

The room, bed and facilities were all excellent. Great atmosphere and location. Very friendly staff and met quite a few local residents from the area which made my experience wonderful. Parking is quite expensive at the local car park. As we all travelled by motorcycle, we found that the nearest park we left our bikes was not open to motorcycles. No notice before entry! No fault of the hotel, only should be noted.

Friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are situated above the cafe - spacious and clean. I ate at the cafe/restaurant in the evening and the food was excellent. Location was very good - only a short 10 minute walk into the city centre. Whilst not an issue for myself, the rooms are accessed by steep stairs - just something to be aware of.

The room was very comfortable and spacious and had an excellent view. The location was fantastic and was only a 15 minute walk from the Dampoort station, but only 2 minutes to the very centre of the town. I had lunch when I arrived at the cafe and it was really good and the service was excellent. Breakfast was good and had a good selection, it was a really nice place. There was nothing wrong with this place.

The Location was great & having breakfast in the cafe downstairs was very convenient. Had a lovely lunch there too on day 1. the room was superb. a bit of dust on the mantelpiece

The location is perfect, public parking is a 10 minute walk away and costs about €5 for the night. The staff is very polite, friendly, and helpful. The room is very comfortable, clean, and quiet, but it takes some very steep flights of stairs to reach it. The breakfast was delicious. Do not miss to have dinner at the restaurant: best freshly prepared creole food!

Everything was good. Lovely space, clean and location perfect.

Central location, good breakfast, friendly staff. The room had no facilities for hanging or storing clothes, which was remarkable considering the large size of the room. We were given room A as my wife did not fancy climbing up two more flights of very steep, narrow stepped staircases (I understand, this is not uncommon in older Flemish buildings). What this did mean was noise coming from the cafe below until 02:20 and restarting about 06:00 which meant very little sleep for us. In the end, we returned our key and booked elsewhere for the second night.
