Crowne Plaza College Park - Washington DC by IHG

Room was really nice; service in the restaurant during breakfast was not good. There were not enough waitresses to service everyone, so there was a long wait to order something specific from the menu.

The hotel was not well maintained or clean or kept up. Well the Halls were dirty. The bedrooms the rooms were dirty. There was a spill from Thursday night on the floor by the elevator on the 6th floor. That was there until I checked out on Sunday morning. Just never cleaned. Never well maintained. The bartender ignored customers to the point that they would walk away because they weren't be as serviced. Half of the cable channels did not work. Call made us up three times. They said it's not just my room front desk said it's not just your room out of 62 channels you're supposed to have. I had maybe access to 30 of them. The other ones kept saying not in service. Not in service. Not connected, not connected. Ask maintenance. He said you're supposed to have all these channels. I do not have half of the channels I was supposed to the whole time I was there. Just not a great experience at all

The room was very outdated, there was hardly any light in the room (1 lamp and 1 small round light in the center of the two beds)

No free breakfast. Breakfast too costly. High rate for room for hotel that doesn’t have a restaurant operational during prime time. The bartender had to take our order.

The room lighting is extremely dim; new lights with brighter lighting elements are needed. The carpet is old and dirty looking; I could not tell if the room is really clean. The room (Rm # 511) needs to be repainted with lighter colors (not navy-blue headboard and tan and navy-blue carpet that is dirty), The room also had an order in it. The hotel also appears to have a rodent problem; there was a mouse trap on the shelf in the closet, this is something that guest NEVER want to see in the open. I also witnessed another room with the tag on the doorknob requesting that the room be cleaned from Saturday evening until I checked out on Sunday (Room # 516) I did not receive service as I should have. When I left the room the cleaning staff was on the floor cleaning other rooms. When I returned in the evening my room was exactly as I had left it. I call the supervisor, who apologized and offered discount coupons for breakfast, that I did not accept. When I checked out from my stay, the staff appeared indifferent and did not make eye contact, I was told, "ok have a nice day". I did not feel comfortable or safe in my experience at this hotel. I will not stay at Crown Plaza Hotel College Park or any other Crown Plaza Hotel location. Crown Plaza Hotel College Park, Maryland can do better and must do better. I will be writing to Crown Plaza Hotel corporate office.

In general nice hotel, nice bed, excellent breakfast and the service’s staff were very friendly. I would recommend the place, the location is very good.

Nice hotel. It would be nice to have exercise room and serve lunch in restaurant. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Carpet needed cleaning, as well as stained lounge chair and sitting stool in the room. The room also needed substantially better lighting Otherwise, a decent hotel for the price. On the positive there were bath sheet towels rather than usual smaller standard sized at other hotel chains . Also, a very nice open lobby restaurant bar. Very nice tree lined outside views as well.

Rooms were spacious and clean!!!! The complementary body wash and hand soaps smell amazing. I would book again!

Very good place to stay for familes

Listen for the money that was spent there should be a microwave in those rooms. Along with a better working refrigerator past that hotel was lovely.

Big hotel with nice gym.
