Mr. Fernando's service at the restaurant was excellent, all the staff were very friendly with the exception of the man who works the afternoon shift at reception. FALSE ADVERTISING. Booking.com advertises rooms with coffee makers, but these are nonexistent. The hotel staff offer to provide one in the room, but never do. When you request it, the make receptionist who works the afternoon shift is very rude, saying they haven't had coffee makers since the pandemic. The room doesn't have air conditioning, only a floor fan, and the mattress is very hot. The television is very old and doesn't have access to apps like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, or others that would allow you to choose what to watch. All the television channels are in Spanish, and there's no way to change the language to English or turn on English subtitles. People who can't be out all day or sightseeing, needs these conditions to be improved.

E writhing exceeded our expectations. We were referred to the hotel by a good friend. We need to send her a bottle of tequila as a big thank you!!! Getting hot water to the shower took about 5 minutes. But it was a minor inconvenience

Great hotel in a great location. Love the decor. Very comfortable stay.

Lovely and charming. An absolute maze of hallways and stairs - fun exploring and trying to find our way around. Several comfortable and attractive terraces for lounging. If you need quiet, ask for a quieter room as they vary. Comfortable beds and linens. Large attractive rooms. Lovely attentive staff. Loved it! Breakfast was a mediocre buffet with several options (overpriced for the area at $14 USD per person).

I loved the location, the staff, and the building. The rooms were mostly comfortable but b/c my room was an interior room, the windows opened to the interior of the hotel and light from the halls came into my room; making it somewhat difficult to sleep. The breakfast was great. The first room I stayed in on the 2nd floor had no AC and felt stuffy. The 2nd room on the 4th floor had an AC unit so it was better

Breakfast was excellent, lots of options of traditional Mexican dishes and good fruit plates. Service was outstanding. Breakfast is served in a lovely patio. I can't eat very spicy food, the waitperson knew by the third day to make sure not to include chiles in my scrambled "Mexicana Huevos". Sometimes they provide buffet breakfast selections. Very nice environment and delicious breakfast options. N/A

I got an internal room which was so dark, it didn’t matter as we were out all day. Beds were super firm

The location is superb, steps from the Diego Rivera Museum, the town center and many good restaurants. The hotel itself is a colonial labanryth filled with colonial architecture, furniture and art. The breakfast is superb and in a light-filled atrium with an ancient tree growing through the roof. The uniformed waiters were friendly and professional and made a point of bringing a pot of strong coffee to our table when we commented that the coffee was a bit weak. Our room faced an internal atrium and was quiet but a bit stuffy. There was a ceiling fan, which helped, and we slept fine. The hotel does not have A/C, and the nights in Guanajuato (2,000m) are cool. The other option would be a room facing the stree, but these might get street noise bouncing off the cobblestone streets.
