The location is perfect — right in the heart of Guanajuato — and the room was basic but fine for the price, especially during the Cervantino Festival. The check-in was stressful. When my message with check-in instructions arrived late, the host was irritated that I called, and spoke to me very rudely. When I tried to thank her and explain I was just tired after traveling, she said, “If traveling makes you tired, you shouldn’t travel.” I apologized profusely, knowing that I had limited alternatives, and said "I understand how the message delay caused frustration." At that point she threatened to call the police because I used the word “frustrated.” After that, I avoided contact, and things were fine. On some nights, especially on weekends, the thumping noise from that bar on the other side of my bedroom wall went on until about 4 a.m. My lampshade shook to the bass of the music. Impossible to sleep through - you really need to be the person who joins the party to survive the night.

The location was perfect, the price very affordable, free coffee, beautiful terrace and access to the kitchen Access to a fan for the rooms without windows.

Rooftop terrace was great. Bathroom could have been cleaned more.

The owner was frendly. The kitchen is equipped. They have free coffee and terrace.

The hostess is lovely & welcoming. Basic facilities but with everything you need and very good value for money. Hot water in the shower, use of a full kitchen and the terrace is a big bonus. Lovely views of the city. Location is great.no windows in my room but I didn't mind at all. Everything cleaned regularly. Nothing.

The landlady is sadly a choleric. Me and my friend have stayed in a lot of hostels and have never ever had problems with the staff. First of all, upon arrival, we had to wait on the street in front of the hostel for 40 minutes because nobody was inside to let us in and nobody picked up the phone when we called (about 12 times). Then she (the landlady) gave us the wrong room and the next interaction with her was her yelling at us (literally yelling) for not having left the kitchen up to par. We hadn’t noticed that the stove was not impeccably cleaned and then, of course, we cleaned it but there was absolutely no need to yell at any point in the conversation. We stayed here for two nights and were yelled at about 5 times. One time because the fire alarm went off while my friend was cooking (only using the stove) and when nobody came to help her turn it off (even though she called for help) she used a broom to turn it off herself. Whereupon the landlady took a picture of the security footage, sent this to me and booking.com saying we were destroying safety equipment and ran upstairs to yell at my friend. As I said, this has never happened to us before. Do not recommend

Guanajato its a great place to stay for 3-4days. The hostel was so close to the centre. There is so much to do in this town and Adriana the owner of this hostel she is wecoming nd helpful. I did not like some of the tours, like visiting the momias tour , the museum about the inquisition nd other museums which were not at all interesting to my liking.

It's very quiet and calm. I spend a lot of time on my room, sitting at the balcony and just thinking. The bed was comfy, maybe could use an extra blanket, I didn't ask but they would surely provide one. I had enough space for my things. Maybe it could use a small table, so I can sit at the balcony with my book and a cup of coffee jaja it was close to a lot of places en Guanajuato, like food, little park away from people. The host were super helpful with everything. Maybe the music was a bit too loud.

It's extremely loud at night: at least three clubs have their music very loud through the night, one of these is a karaoke bar, with drunk people singing. Weird fact after a sleepless night the host starts music in the morning to cheer you up. Earplugs help a bit.

Nothing The owner is awful. Mean and disgracious. She didn't have the room I reserved. So, as soon as I arrived, she offered me a bigger room for extra money. I didn't have the chance to complain, she right away told me that I could go somewhere else. It was either that or out the door. So here I am, my suitcase in hand, I was on a panic. So I had no choice, where was I going to go? I ended up paying 1,500 $ mex pesos in cash only. She said the machine is broken when on the site it says credit card accepted. She put me down as canceled so I could not write about what happened. I insisted for on receipt which she would not do. It turns out she has no official receipt, She wrote me a note. Mentionned ghat if she took a credit card and put me down as stayed she would have to pay commission and taxes. So, Booking commission and City taxes I paid when into her pocket. The worst was his intransigence and his wickedness

Good location, roooftop terrace, good internet The single room doesnt have any window, is really small and the bed is uncomfortable. There is an open hole in the door so you dont really have a privacy. I dont mind basic conditions but this place didnt meet even basic criterias, plus is not the cleanest one

Great location to stay in Guanajuato. the room and bathrooms were not clean (overflowing bins in toilet, lots of hair in the showers, dirty floors) and some of the staff were difficult and not at all helpful.
