Pros: - Near to train stop and to Hakodate mountain - Good chair and desk to work in the reception - they turn off the lights at 11pm but you can still there overnight - Friendly staff - Fast internet all over the hostel - Good capsule size - Kitchen Cons - a little bit far from the center and thw Hakodate public transport is not so frequently - 4 showers and 3 toilets for all the male guests

I really loved the design and the overall vibe of this place, it has a lot of character and a great atmosphere. The location is also spot on, being an easy walk to both the Hakodate Ropeway and the marina area. The bed just wasn't very comfortable, which was a bit of a letdown. Also, heads up if you're staying in the second building (the old bank wing)—there’s no elevator, so carrying heavy bags up the stairs is a real workout.

The room was very small and different from the picture of that room type. no sitting in the room and the window was very small.

The location was FANTASTIC, it is centrally located between some of the most interesting historical areas and tourist areas in Hakodate! The accommodations were comfortable and the staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. The only thing that we had a problem with was that the faucet of the sink in room 209 dock-side was a bit loose. Other than that everything else was superb!

The dorm room is clean and the beds are really comfy. It’s located right next to the pier and has good cafes close by. Totally recommend!

building is kinda like a maze when initially checking into room. i had dorms on 3rd floor, had to walk down the stairs to 2nd floor for restroom, should be a restroom on the same floor

Yes, inside the hotel, all facilities are good, very clean. They renovated the building, some time is noise.

Building is unique and well located in the city. Curry restaurant in the same building had good food and drink selection. Stayed in a private room so I cannot speak for the shared areas. Not the hotel's fault but one of the main reasons I picked this hotel was the proximity to the Mt Hakodate tram, which I did not know would be closed for inspection during our stay. The building exterior was also under construction during our stay, which was a shame because the architecture looks great in the pictures.

Such a beautiful historical building. The dorm was super comfortable. The terrace is amazing. The location was ideal. Would definitely stay again and for a longer time. Hakodate is such a beautiful city.

For the dormitory it was really good. Great amenities (showers, toilets, beds, laundry, pyjamas etc.) Great location close to a lot of attractions. Loved the buildings architecture. Rooftop views of the city. Highly recommend!
