Loved this place so much, I would pick this place again in a heartbeat! From the AMAZING japanese style breakfast to the location, everything was perfect! Oh, did I mention the onsen? We truly enjoyed staying here and will recommend to anyone! Nothing

Amazing vibe. Breakfast was incredible! Traditional Japanese breakfast! I was full for the entire day! Staff were so polite, gracious. Norwegian Olympic team stayed in hotel for 1998 Winter Olympics. Serene peaceful feeling in hotel with traditional wood and Japanese architecture..short 5 mins walk to bus to other resorts. Highly recommend

Mr Maruyama was the most gracious host. Beautiful , well maintained Ryokan with a perfect Onsen. Most convenient location near the Hakuba Bus Terminal which will take u anywhere you need to go in the Hakuba Valley + To and from Nagano

The hotel was in a great location, close to the shuttle bus, train station, restaurants and Lawsons. The staff were traditional, friendly and helpful. The room was larger than expected and the traditional Japanese breakfasts were a highlight. The hotel onsen was a lovely surprise after a big day skiing.

The 3rd floor carpet in the hallway looked like it needed a good cleaning as there were some stains around the gathering area. Breakfast is served from 7:30-8:30 which is too late if you want to get an early start on the mountain.

This hotel is great for an authentic Japanese experience. It’s family run and very friendly. We loved the onsen which was great at the end of a long day in the slopes.

Location was amazing, and the onsen was very slow, so I had the whole place to myself. Which was very nice. It is a more or a traditional style room, but loved that there was hot water ready for tea when we walked in. The indoor onsen was absolutely scalding hot. Someone had left the hot water running so it was way hotter than it should have been. The outdoor one was a little less intense. Also it was a little tricky bringing our bags (snowboard bags) to the room as there was some stairs that you had to go down and then up even though our room was on the main floor.

Hotel had an old Japanese vibe with beautiful wood architecture. Traditional rooms with tatami and futon. Onsen! The breakfast was very well balanced meals and different meals were prepared for each morning.

Service… the owner is a super nice gentleman. He helped us with taxis and keeping our luggage after skiing the last day. Onsen on-site is perfect after the slopes.

What a gem! Great location, charming Japanese style rooms, lovely outdoor onsen, and very kind host. Incredible value for the cost. We were in Hakuba for 9 days and only stayed here our final night because we booked late, but we plan to book early to stay here next year.

It was clean and central and it was nice to have a personal onsen. The host was the best We loved it all

Very friendly and kind staff. The man at the front desk was exceptional and they even left us a change of clothes and towels when they couldn’t service our room. Japanese style rooms aren’t as comfortable as we thought they’d be. The room was spacious and great but the pads were a little thin.

Very Japanese style, very cozy, close walks to the convenience store, restaurants and rental shops. Takes 15 mins to walk to the nearest resort.
