H5 Grauer Bär Studios & More

The building design was a fantastic blend of old and new, about a block and a half from the front desk, and steps away from the main tourist throughfare. We did not feel like we were being warehoused. The room was spacious and beautifully appointed. To avoid the risk and inconvenience of lost luggage, we try not to check our luggage on the plane - only carry on luggage. To do this we need access to an onsite washer and dryer during our stays. These appliances were not indicated as being available.

BEAUTIFUL and in a wonderful part of the old town. The building has been lovingly renovated to include new amenities and still keeping the history and details the main characters. You can look right down in the street from your window and people watch. We also had a terrace which was Lovely to sit out on when someone was using the bathroom. Very clean! I was so pleased! As a former house keeper, I notice when things haven't been addressed. The bed was comfy and I appreciated the separate toilet room as we were sleeping 3 to the space. The bathroom has four walls but none of them reach the ceiling, so you're sitting in an echo chamber in the middle of the flat to poop. I'm not sure what the answer should be, but if you're shy, this isnt the one for you. We were here one night and coordinated so there would be privacy for the three of us, but it would be tough to stay here multiple days. The Aircon is weak. We were here in a heatwave and the AC hadn't been turned on for us before we got there. We struggled to drop the temp below 25C, including keeping windows open at night and closing up during the days. We were on the top (5th) floor, so that may have had something to do with it. My parents stayed in a smaller room on the 4th floor and their room was more comfortable. Considering the temp, we kept the windows open at night, which was a trade off for noise. Our room faced the charming street below, but we were across from a (honestly really cool) goth bar, where there were folks hanging out through the night. It wasn't awful, but I did have to shut the windows eventually, to stay asleep. Once they were closed the apartment was really quiet.

Location, cleanliness, room amenities, room size and hotel was beautifully restored and very unique. The check in process. No one on site, had to call through an intercom and get help checking in because the auto check in kept autocorrecting my last name and couldn't find my reservation. Then it said room was not ready even tho staff told me it was. Had to wait for QR code to generate key card. After that, it was smooth sailing.

Everything was ok

Every thing - the lovation is in the centre of centre - the suite is big and comfortable like you stay in a museum - the toilet was big enough for family - the air conditioning was great - the balcony was amazing with nice views to the mountains -the staff were helpful and friendly There is no mirror inside the suite but the one in the toilet The breakfast in the hotel was below the expectation

Great location in the old town. Amazing renovation of a very old building which adds a tremendous amour of character to the stay. Nice views in spacious well thought out room layout to take advantage of the available space. Room fridge is a must for us. I would recommend for a very pleasant day or two to visit Innsbruck old town. Downside on location is a 7-8 minute walk from parking. It is flat however. The self checkin took a few minutes to understand. Not a big deal but maybe could be a little clearer. Once done, it seems obvious.

The studio in H5 is in a great location, close to everything in the Altstadt. The building is architecturally very cool. It is modern and clean and has everything you needed for a comfortable stay. We really appreciated being able to take a short walk down the street to the Grauer Bär Hotel to use the steam room, sauna, pool and hot tub. I can’t forget to mention the AC that worked very well. We had enough outside noise to require white noise and ear plugs. Our studio was right over the front door and we could hear the tourists outside getting ice cream and shopping, a very loud band playing around the corner until just after 10pm, and a few crazy people screaming in the middle of the night.

Fantastic place. Easy check in. We like a hotel breakfast.

Beautifully renovated 14th century building with modern amenities, situated in the old town. We were not informed that there was no parking and it caused a tremendous amount of confusion upon our arrival as to where to park, where to unload, and how to get our luggage 0.5km to the hotel. When we called the hotel phone number, there was no answer. We parked outside the walls of the old town and walked to the property (in a pedestrian only area) and found a house phone, which was answered. The woman who answered was more concerned with chastising us for parking where we parked than giving us the necessary directions. The parking was below the main hotel, public/pay parking, with an entrance to the hotel. We rang twice at the desk before the same woman came to the desk. Ultimately, the walk to the property was doable however, the parking instructions need to be more clear in the posting and/or check in instructions.

We loved the location of the room. We did not want to be in a large hotel so this fit our needs. The room was spacious and comfortable. We did not get to use the balcony as we were only there for one night.

Very cool, newly renovated rooms, right in the middle of all the restaurants and shops! There was one bar below us that had some noise from it until late.

The room was beautiful! Lovely balcony! The spa was chefs kiss! Laughed storage was helpful! Staff were great!!! Loved our stay here!!

The property is beautiful & centrally located.

Hotel is in excellent location and breakfast was fabulous. I enjoyed making my own orange juice every morning. Stuff was plenty and always willing to help. Connection with ski buses was excellent and very convenient. Note that we upgraded and stayed in the main hotel, not in the studios nearby.

We LOVED this unit. We had to book here last minute due to a nightmare host who was unexpectedly aggressive towards us at a different rental and we left their unit early. We booked this room as a hail mary the morning of and were so pleasantly surprised, we wish we booked it sooner - in fact, I sent the link to my parents who will be traveling to Innsbruck this fall and told them they HAD to book here. It was spacious, clean, quiet, centrally located, had everything, and beautiful - absolutely perfect. Nothing, it was better than we expected.
