What I like most about this hotel is the cleanliness—from the lobby to the elevators, the sheets and pillows smell fresh and clean, and the bathroom is spotless. Very good room rate at a very central and convenient location right in the Old Town, only 2 minutes to the lake. Tour to Halong bay is good, and they kept the luggage for us in 2 days! At such a low price, we are completely satisfied; we couldn't ask for anything more.
-
Reachable area from the property as only 15-20 minutes walkable for the lake and nearby attractions washroom

Great for the price No window

Location is in the center of Old town. Noisy if room is facing street as expected. I booked discounted room so I had no complaints on room size.
-
Wanted to pay by card . But they have not got a card reader so had to do through a internet link which did not work very well The bathroom was dangerous As when you shower the water covered the floor making it very easy to slip not safe . Not clean room every day

They kept hurrying me when I was about to check out.

The room was very clean and pleasant. The bathroom felt luxurious for a budget hotel. The location is close to attractions and good restaurants. One of the front desk men continued to say that I had a 3 night stay when clearly it was a 4 night stay. Would also pester me about paying everytime I walked in/out even though I said I would pay at check out. He was nice about it but it was just too pushy.

Very good location and the room was ok for the money I’ve paid for it The stuff was unkind and very welcoming.

They had someone pick me up from the airport for an extra $13 which was great. It was raining and the woman at the front desk came and met me with an umbrella I arrived about 9pm. It was extremely loud, a karaoke bar is nearby and it sounded as if I was inside of the karaoke bar. My room had black mold on the ceiling. I informed the hotel staff about it but they did not seem worried. I cancelled my booking after an hour of contemplating what to do and walked to a hotel down the street. The staff were extremely sorry and kept apologizing, but that was only after I said I was not staying as there was black mold on the ceiling and the room smelled wet and musty. The room also looked nothing like the photos

It was an amazing stay here! Spring, the hotel manger, was so so helpful - from allowing me to borrow a backpack for the Ha Giang Loop to ensuring I feel comfortable in my room, she was amazing! Overall, the hotel was in the perfect part of Hanoi - everything was near by. I highly recommend!
-
Very close to the attractions and value for money. Even it’s cancellation free window in the booking.com, the hotel forced us to prepay full amount and threatened to cancel otherwise. It’s quite noisy even after midnight.

Spring was very accommodating and patient, booked me an excellent ninh binh day tour and advised me on where to eat and how to be safe. Nice room and excellent hospitality!

The Kingdom Hotel is a wonderful, family-owned and operated hotel. In addition to the hotel's central location, Mrs. Spring was able to discuss and plan out an incredible adventure-filled trip around northern Vietnam (as far south as Hoi An) that included air flights to/from DaNang -- though an impending typhoon prevented my travel to Da Lat -- and around sites, each more awe-inspiring than the next. The entire first week of travel was a fairy-like fantasy of cultural and natural vistas that put me into a dream-like atmosphere. Mrs. Spring provides service at such a consistently high level to all of her customers that it has been a pleasure to stay here (and trusting someone else with helping plan your trip is the ultimate criterion for me). As I understand it, breakfast was not part of the hotel agreement. But since Kingdom Hotel is located in the Old Quarter, one can walk out the door and find suitable breakfasts for less than $5 (110,000 dong), and pho is fine with me! The staff of the hotel, and in particular, Mrs. Spring provided service beyond the excellent category, and helped plan a lovely VexietNam vacation that permitted me to explore HaNoi at my own pace. When I encountered a health issue, she promptly directed me to the pharmacy, and took the time to recommend a couple of non-fee ATMs to obtain walking-around money. Also, without asking, she had a room with an outside window view unexpectedly open up during the busy season, and she put me in that room at the lower price that I had booked through Booking.com a few months ago. Nothing that I consider important.

The location The room smelled musty and there was, what appeared to be, mold along the upper portion of the back wall. The sheets and duvet felt damp and one of the pillows was so old it was actually lumpy. I left and found another hotel.
