Hanoi Paon Hotel & Spa

We really enjoyed our stay at Hanoi Paon Hotel. Staff were lovely and very helpful. The buffet breakfast was delicious. The location was perfect, in amongst all the Old Quarter activity and right near the hub of Hoan Kiem Lake.

Everything was good but the rooms were not as clean as we would have liked. Found a pair of jeans and the flip flops they provided looked dirty, but we had our own footwear so it didn’t bother us.

Absolutely stellar. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. I really can't commend them enough, I was very thoroughly impressed. The location was central, the airport pickup was easy, the pool, gym and breakfast were all good. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were well stocked and clean. The views from the rooftop restaurant were wonderful. I have nothing to complain about.

The pool did not meet my expectations and I chose this hotel for the pool. Next time ill choose a hotel with rooftop pool. The pool was cold not heated as advertised, and did not look inviting. I did not swim in it and I book hotels for pools so this was a disappointment. The location was great though and breakfast buffet views. Room was standard not a view as I asked for a high floor with a view but did not get that.

I doubt you can get more bang for your buck. Honest, kind people and clean place.

Great location, in the Old Quarter but slightly towards the boundaries, so you can enjoy a bit of peace from the crowded central streets. Chloe and the rest of the team, including the spa, are so attentive and professional, they made an already great stay an unforgettable experience. Last but not least, the breakfast buffet is delicious, comes with a big variety of fresh fruit, veggies,hot food - and freshly prepared eggs. This will be my place to stay (and recommend) in Hanoi now! I can’t think of anything bad.

We booked because of our anniversary and they never failed us and have prepared our room this is my second time booking here. I really like the location since it’s very close to the lake and other tourist spot also the staff were very nice

The staff are very nice and contacted me via Whatsapp days before my arrival and provided information and answered my questions and requests promptly. The breakfast is excellent and varieties are beyond my expectations!

The staff at Hanoi Paon hotel was absolutely top notch, helpful, communicative and professional. Ms. Chloe made it a point to remember every guest’s name and greet us every time we passed through the lobby. Both she and Ms. Alice were invaluable helping plan and book excursions around the city, and the Bell staff was friendly, proactive and very conscientious coordinating check in, check out and transportation coordination. The location is fantastic, great views from breakfast, the gym, the pool and the bar, and clean, more than adequate rooms. Everything was more than satisfactory. Less able-bodied guests will have difficulty navigating the stairs to breakfast, pool and rooftop bar, but they are safe, and very much in line with the local architecture.

Great location, friendly staff, comfy beds, good breakfast, and definitely good value for money. The pool and gym are in a somewhat unusual location, with stairs to the restaurant running through the middle, which limits privacy. We also did not find aircon in the gym. Additionally, the hotel adds a 3% fee for card payments.

Great hotel, location is excellent (on the edge of the Old Quarter so everything is within walking distance). Breakfast is great and varied (clearly targeting western tourists’ apatite but still great nonetheless. Rooms are spacious and cleaned daily. There is a gym (although small and bit lacking, it has 2 treadmills, a stationary bicycle, a punching bag, 2 heavy ropes, a bench and a set of weights of different weights). The gym is also not air conditioned, and it can get quite hot there (they open the windows but still it would be nice for an A/C). Pool is indoors so if there is rain, you can still enjoy it. The elevator only goes up to the 10th floor. For the pool you have to climb the stairs and for the restaurant another floor of stairs, not ideal for people with disabilities or hard of walking. The pool is relatively small, measuring roughly 2.5x12m and has a depth of ~1.6m all across. It can accommodate 2 families of 4 or 3-4 couples. Also they have only 2 chairs in the pool for the entire hotel, and no beach chairs, just regular.
