We had an amazing stay at Shining Hotel Hanoi! From the moment we arrived, the service was outstanding. Grace and Harry were incredibly attentive, warm, and helpful, always going above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. The entire team made us feel so welcome. The gentleman who greeted us, opened the doors, and assisted with the elevator was always kind and professional. Kevin at the Sky Bar was wonderful—friendly, personable, and made our visits there even more enjoyable. The ladies at breakfast were also so sweet, attentive, and helpful every morning. The location is perfect for exploring Hanoi, with so many places within easy walking distance. Our room was beautifully appointed, comfortable, and had a charming small balcony that was a lovely bonus. A truly wonderful hotel with exceptional staff and service. We highly recommend Shining Hotel Hanoi and would happily stay here again!

They took my money &rejected to cancel my booking, despite that they give me dirty room saying it’s the only available room, so either I stay in it or they will not cancel my booking

Staff friendliness. They make a difference at Breakfast, Reception, SPA, etc. View in room is very limited. I like to see people moving and some air circulation. It is what it is I guess. Can't do anything about that.

Our experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing. We had booked our stay 3 bookings in total with different dates, for the night of 27th June & 30th June as well as another reservation from 12th to 14th July. On 30th June, we arrived at approximately 9:30 PM, exhausted after traveling all the way from Sapa, only to discover that our room was infested with tiny insects. They were visible all over the walls and were also coming from behind the bed. We immediately contacted the hotel staff, who came to our room, witnessed the infestation themselves, and even took photographs of the insects. We asked whether another room was available, but we were told that the hotel was fully booked. As the room was clearly unsuitable and unhygienic, we requested a full refund for all of our bookings without any cancellation fees. However, the hotel refused. We had not intended to stay at another hotel, but after witnessing the unacceptable level of cleanliness and the rude and unprofessional attitude of the staff, we had no choice but to leave. When we informed the staff that we intended to leave honest negative reviews about our experience, one of the staff members, Jen, tried to persuade us not to do so by offering us a discount at the hotel’s spa in return. Regarding the cancellation issue, Jen explained that the hotel could not refund the booking for 30th June without charging additional fees because the reservation had been made through a third-party booking platform. According to her, the platform charges the hotel a commission and may block the hotel if they cancel reservations.

It is so close to everything. It is close to the lake, to seven 11, to coffee shops, and most importantly to the friendly people of Vietnam. It’s so nice to have a spa on the property, so the appointments is so easily arranged. All our tours are booked and communicated through the staff. I love the property.

Great team in the FOH. Early checkout in without additional charges. Location is perfect. Very comfy bed and swimming pool was great at night. All was ok

Nice hotel, easy check-in, nice room with everything needed, good location, atm right out the front of hotel. wifi did not work consistently in the room for me, so needed to move to lobby to completely load emails.

Staff was always friendly and ready to help with everything. Buffet breakfast has a lot of options. Location is great. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable. They also gave us a voucher for a free massage at the spa, which was great. Recommended

Our room was very spacious, clean, and comfortable. There is a supermarket nearby as well as several massage shops, so the overall convenience is excellent. We were also impressed by the laundry service. We handed in our clothes around 11:30 PM, and they were ready by the time we had breakfast the next morning, which was very efficient. Special thanks to Zoey, Ha, Thuong, Van, Dan, Tuyen, Hoa, Be, Kieu, and Tram for their friendly and helpful service throughout our stay. The elevator is a little small, and some breakfast items did not have labels, so it was sometimes difficult to know exactly what the dishes were. However, these were only minor issues and did not significantly affect our overall experience.
