Cap Town Hotel

The hotel has improved on every front (except breakfast) since my last stay. Breakfast is dull and repetitive. I eat early so am there at 6 am. I had to start the toaster myself and wait for it to heat up, I had to go to the kitchen to ask for eggs, The bacon is always cold.

The lady who worked at night was so lovely and helpful with directions, taxi’s and general information. The room was comfortable and very clean, breakfast was good value would definitely stay there again .

We had a wonderful stay here, it's a busy area plenty of dining choices and only a short walk to Ben Thanh Markets.

Nice hotel in a great location, We stayed 2 nights and was perfect for what we needed.

It is located close to shops. Breakfasts facilities can be better. Food items should be identified with a tag. Hot milk and vegetarian items can be made available.

I have stayed a number of times at this hotel, it is in a good location and could be a good hotel again if some money was invested back into it. It is not being maintained, and no longer competes with other hotels. The toilet didn't flush. They did on the second day try to get it fixed, but I used my own knowledge of plumbing to get it to work. The power tripped in the room three to five times a day. This made trying to watch a movie a nightmare.

I have stayed at the Cap town many times over the past ten years. While my partner stays with her family, I travel around in Vietnam and often use the Cap Town as a well-priced and located stay in HCMC. We are in country about every eighteen months and have done so since 2010. The hotel needs some money spent on it. There has been a very obvious lack of maintenance, both of the infrastructure and the staff. Gone are the efficient young ladies who once staffed the reception counter and in their place was a young man who was probably in a little over his head. The room was listed as a Deluxe Double Room, a few years ago this was a good choice. Now the room is tired and full of aging furniture. The breakfast is set each day to commence at 6am, one morning it was 6:20 before coffee arrived. I had to turn a bain-marie on because the staff forgot to. The bacon was cold, and meat needs to be monitored for health reasons. They advertise cable television, but what this amounts to is Netflix, which you must use your own account to access. That is not cable provided!

It was centrally located and walking distance to most of the things that we wanted to do. There was a lot of construction work going on next door the demolition of an entire building that kept us awake until midnight or 1 am every night. It would have been nice had the hotel warned us that this demolition work was going on.

Location was good. Room is fine if you’re out all day. Dead cockroach in our room the entire stay, even after our room had been made up. Shower overflowed and flooded the bathroom. Construction site next door started works at 7am.

Fantastic location right in the city center, next to all must-see spots. Also, fantastic, kind -and super helpful staff. Room in sync with pictures, comfortable bed.
