The staff were good. The buffet was excellent and the staff , the cooks at the pho stand, and the manager there were GREAT! Will surely miss them. A standing shower would be great to have. Thank you!

The hotel is very well located, with fantastic view. The rooms were very nice, I had got the room with river view, which was fantastic. The restaurants, the rooftop bar, all of them were very good. Staff was courteous and helpful. Its very good value for money. Its a bit jaded. I think it can be modernized a bit without losing character.

The hotel facilities were ok; however, the quality of management—particularly the handling of payments—was very poor and lacked transparency. Please see the details below. The reception staff did not appear to speak adequate English, or at least gave the impression that they did not understand—or pretended not to understand—English. The reception “upgraded” our room without our consent and charged a significant additional fee without prior approval, nor did they provide a proper explanation in English. Furthermore, one of the reception staff members did not seem to know how to process an international credit card. I requested that my card be processed in front of me, as I was concerned about potential misuse. However, he again appeared not to understand English, handled my card out of my sight, and then informed me that it did not work. After I insisted several times that the transaction be carried out in front of me, he finally did so. It turned out that the card simply required a PIN. Overall, the quality of the reception staff was unacceptably low, and the handling of payments—including the unauthorized charge for the “upgraded” room—was highly unprofessional. We will not use this hotel again.

A great location in District 1 with an exceptional staff there to serve your every need. Our room had a great view of the river and we appreciated the double windows that were able to block out the noise of the busy street below ! The breakfast was delicious too. We can’t forget the beautiful lobby with all the flowers and lunar new year memorabilia Highly recommend this hotel

Location is great, easy to walk to most places. Staff are fantastic and attentive especially the porters. Breakfast is pretty standard for a five star hotel, good variety. The room is comfortable and clean and air-conditioning is great. I used the gym both days and found it to be reasonably well equipped and was able to keep up with my weight training block, which was a bonus! There is a little noise at night - however earplugs are provided. Currently (March 2026) there is construction in the river where the hotel faces so it's not the best view.

The hotel was located over the road from the river. We chose a room with a pool view which was a mistake. The pool is located in a small courtyard surrounded by tall buildings. I would suggest booking a room with a river view. Overall this is a beautiful hotel with a central location. A river view room.
