Mediocre hotel. Everything really okay but expensive for average hotel. People on floor above room checked in at 10 pm and. I heard them walking all over the place and running water on and off, on and off. This woke me up and I had a hard time going back to sleep. Shower was good. I wouldn’t go back unless it was a lot cheaper!

When we arrived, one of the rooms was not made up. The beds were stripped and the bed linens were piled on a desk. The clerk at the desk apologized and gave us a free upgrade to a room with a king size bed. Talk about great customer service! This is the third year we have stayed at this Fairfield and we will definitely be back next year! The free breakfast was also fantastic. The variety of food provided would have easily cost $20 or more at a restaurant.

It is an old building but they maintain it fairly well. Not much of a tv. Some small issues but very clean and the beds/pillows were very comfortable.

The room was dirty and moldy. As soon as I opened the door, I could smell mildew. The bathroom ceiling was gross! They definitely had a flood and didn’t properly fix it. There was tons of hair all over the bathroom counter and what looked like a blood smear on the door. There was also a dirty sock left near the bed. The pool area looked as though it hadn’t been cleaned in a long time either. The paint was peeling off the ceiling and it was really run down. The breakfast was also not very good. The only good thing I can say is the bed was comfortable.

This was by far one of the better hotel stays we’ve been to in Holland Michigan. Breakfast was great and the room was clean.

I liked that there was breakfast, however the room could be better maintained. Including the ceiling above the shower and the chair.

We had a reservation and after we checked in they said they had to give us a room that did not lock. I had to argue with the lady to get her to give us a different room, she tried to say the hotel was sold out. Also our showered did not drain so we had to stand in dirty water while showering.

Sheets weren’t fresh and had couple bugs in bathroom. Staff were friendly and helpful. Had a fire in dryer I guess at 3:30 in the morning so fire alarms went off in rooms. Never had experienced that before.

The room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly, courteous and helpful. We had a limited time in the area and the staff helped us choose the best things to see. We had a nice breakfast. I would definitely stay here again.

LOVE the breakfast! So nice to have options besides prepackaged food! Room was clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly. Only disappointment was the pool wasn’t available due to having repairs done. We will stay there again!
