Hotels is nicely located on the busiest street with shopping and restaurants within walking distance. Staff is helpful and nice. Rooms are well maintained. Amazing Cirque de Soleil show on the property. The only issue was the swimming pool - its a tiny pool for a hotel the size of Outrigger.

We were staying on the 23rd floor. As the weather deteriorated, our balcony doors were already shaking from the wind before the storm fully arrived, and we were unsure what guests were supposed to do, including whether the balcony furniture needed to be brought inside. I called the hotel guest-service line no fewer than eight times and only had the phone answered once, after the hurricane. During the time we actually needed guidance, we could not reach anyone. Interestingly, when I called valet/bell services, they answered immediately and were extremely helpful. I appreciate them very much. The following morning, a notice was finally placed under our door instructing guests to bring balcony furniture inside. That information should have been communicated before the high winds arrived. By that point, there was absolutely no way we were going onto a 23rd-floor balcony in dangerous winds to move furniture. For a hotel housing tourists who may have no experience with hurricanes, proactive communication should be a basic part of emergency preparedness. Guests should not have to repeatedly call around the hotel trying to figure out what they are supposed to do. There were also cleanliness and maintenance issues throughout our stay. Housekeeping interactions were consistently unfriendly and unhelpful. Although the roo

We paid our hotel 1 year in advance. Mind you everything was covered and paid for. Valet parking was no where to be found and took us almost 2 hours to find parking. Even the office called and no answer. Once we got to the front desk to check in. They had this make believe charge for $200 for taxes. Guys, I paid this in a full a year, in advance with taxes. They couldn’t clarify where these make believe taxes came from. Then another $100 deposits just because so $300 in total just because they said so. Here is the other thing, parking a night at their hotel isn’t included for their guest and they charge $50 or $60 a night. 1 hour was like $15 and yes they do tow if you aren’t paid up. Parking was impossible and we had to go to over flow every single day that we were there. You will spend about $300 in parking for about a week if not more so really you paid a total $600 for things that should have been included for stay at this hotel. The food variety was not great. The breakfast portions were small. We made the best of our experience but the hospitality was basically bs subscriptions and unjust charges for things that should be included already. Safe to say I won’t be stay here again. I’ll take my hard earned money and give it to a business who doesn’t lie to their customer and try’s to scam them. Don’t hide details from your customers, details are key, especially when they are booking in advance disappointed.

We missed a day because of the hurricane so the staff got us into an ocean view room. The bed was amazing and the pool is perfect. Maui Brewing connected was a perfect addition. Could walk across the street to the pool. Definitely will be back!

The only negative experience was with valet parking. I lost my claim ticket, and when I explained the situation, the gentleman working at the time was a little rude and dismissive. That being said, the other guys working valet were great and very helpful. The Hawaiian Aroma Caffe was definitely one of the highlights of the hotel. The staff was fantastic, and in our opinion, they have the best Mai Tais on Oahu! You also can’t beat their happy hour—$7 Mai Tais from 3–5 PM is an incredible deal, especially in Waikiki. Overall, the Beachcomber is a good hotel in a great location. It’s centrally located, easy to get around, and within walking distance of just about everything Waikiki has to offer.

This was our first stay at The Beachcomber, we have stayed in Waikiki many times. This hotel was an amazing property. It is close in proximity to the beach, restaurants, and shopping. Staff were pleasant and helpful. The only downside was the out of service elevators. 2 out of 4 were out of service for a prolonged time making long lines to get up and down. We will definitely stay again and highly recommend.

They accommodated us with our problems with our scheduled cruise delays because of a hurricane that came in while we were there. The little cafe and the restaurant on premise were very good.
-
Unfortunately, the state experienced Tropical Storm LALA. But even with this rainy weather, the property did what it could.

Beautiful rooms with a great little cafe. Good value right on the main strip close to the beach and shops. All good
