The Grauer Bär was surprisingly good - we were looking forward to a pretty nice little hotel with a pool, but were left with a big smile on our faces. The location a short walk from the Altstadt is great, the room was very nice, the breakfast is excellent and the staff very professional - a special mention to the cleaner, who was attentive, service-oriented and communicative with us. With a spa to top everything off, the Grauer Bär is great value for the money, and definitely well worth a recommendation for anyone looking for a holiday in a pleasant and sympathetic Alpine town. There are a lot of rules and regulations to be read and understood in the Spa and Sauna area, so it would be great if they were available in English as well as the local German. Also, the music at breakfast could be a little calmer than early 2010s dance hits.

    离各处景点都很近,很不错的酒店。我们一点半提前到达。酒店让我们提前入住了。非常感谢。酒店 5 楼有室外浴缸,背景是那个教堂,非常美。记得带上泳裤来。

Hotel was clean, close to everything and the staff are wonderful. I would return to this hotel next time I am in town. The breakfast was over run by a very large group so that impacted the breakfast and check out service. It appeared that the hotel could have scheduled more staff that morning.

Excellent location, great parking under the building, pool & sauna/steam rooms, robes & staff were great!

Wonderful room, with balcony and patio doors looking out over the mountains. Good aircon. Also quiet location. Breakfast was excellent. Location was exactly what we wanted, close to restaurants and old town charm. If ever back in Innsbruck I would stay again. Nothing really I would have expected to be different

Comfortable beds, nice bathroom. Spa is excellent- nice hot sauna. Helpful check in staff. Good breakfast.

Everything was perfect. Very good breakfast, clean spacious rooms and spa that had everything one needs after a day of exploring. Had to phone each time after entering the spa area to get fresh towels, however the hotel provided these within 5 minutes of the call.

The hotel is centrally located - very convenient; short walk to the center. Spa was a nice add on after the whole day of walking and exploring. Hotel is located right next to University (seems very connected) and it was very uneasy feeling that all the students were waking through the main lobby to the University. For example while having breakfast you could see all the students walking by you through the lobby. With that said, lots of strangers around that could also come up with the elevator to any of the floors. There should be a security and access to the floors only with the room cards. It felt very unsafe.

The gym doesn't have any cardio equipment.

Great location and facilities in Hotel. Excellent breakfast. For such hotels there shall be either minibar availability, or lobby bar options, or room ordering services 24/7, as some guests might arrive very late. Shower hose shall be more practical.

location Decaffienated tea was not offered for breakfast, many people drink this tea these days and it should have been offered as standard. The young front desk receptionist was rude and demanding with me during check in. The toilet light and air conditioner automatically came on every time the toilet was in use at any time of day and the noisy air conditioning continued for some time after vacating the toilet, but during the dark night time hours this was especially disturbing for people sleeping in bed because the toliet light brightens the toilet room and spread into the bedroom and disturbed my partner who became awake from the bright toilet light and noisy air conditioner. There was no way that the toliet light and noisy air conditioner could be switched off as it was an automatic mechanism which could not be overridden. I will not stay at this hotel in future due to the thoughtless and disturbing design of the toilet light mechanism. There was no decaffienated coffee sachets in the room, and no teaspoon for making hot drinks. There was no written instructions in the room for joining the hotel wi fi. Two thin pillows for each person was insufficient and pillows were made of cheap square foam chips which are hard and uncomfortable to lie on.We had to request more pillows from reception as there were no spare pillows in the bedroom wardrobe to use which I expected from a four star hotel.

Our suite was dated with strange design features like double sliding internal glass doors that weren't fully operational

    Rooftop pool and spa Nothing

  • Engine customer Jan 2026

Loved rooftop pool and sauna, good breakfast included (not in sauna). Pretty full. Couldn’t extend stay more than one day. Not their fault! Hotel is popular. Some rooms are a little dark.

The location of hotel was good in sense its very close to central Innsbruck where you would be spending most of your time. You can also find bus stops 3 mins walk away and also supermarkets another 1 min away from bus stop. We tend to pick fruits and yogurt as we were travelling with a baby, so give high preference to this. The gentleman at check in desk was very polite & friendly, ready to give us directions and suggestions for city exploration. The buffet spread was good, given we were travelling with our 2 yr old - we did not feel any challenge. The rooms were also spacious Nothing, the stay was good and comfortable. The hotel is about 1 km away from Innsbruck Hbf (main train station), which isnt much of walk on a regular day but we overestimated our potential with bags and baby. If for some reason you cant walk much to hotel from train station, plan for bus route which the city is very well connected through.

The breakfast was exceptional. The room was spacious, facilities were clean and we had a beautiful view of the mountains. Unfortunately, the bed was a bit lumpy and we couldn’t adjust the thermostat.

Breakfast was good; room seemed big enough to accomodate all guests. Mostly typical buffet, but did have plenty of local breads and cheeses. Happily saw the little sign saying they would cook eggs to order. Pool on the upper floor, with a sauna, and outside a hot tub. Pool was a little cool for me, but hot tub felt nice in the outdoor chill. Was a convenient location for the old town, restaurants and this time of year the Christmas markets. No complaints.

  • Engine customer Dec 2025

Great location, very walkable to all the major attractions as well as the central train station (Innsbruck Hbf). The hotel exceeded our expectations with ambiance, plenty of options for the morning breakfast, and sauna/pool/hot tub on the top floor. The staff were very helpful.
