I really enjoyed my stay at Na Balam. The location is perfect—just steps from the beach while still feeling peaceful and secluded. Surrounded by lush tropical trees and gardens, it was a welcome escape from the loud music and crowds along the beachfront. The pool was absolutely beautiful and became one of my favorite places to relax. I also loved having access to the beach loungers at their sister property, Casa Jaguar. The beach there is in a perfect location with soft white sand, calm turquoise water, and excellent swimming. It was such a wonderful perk. The complimentary breakfast each morning was another nice touch and a great way to start the day. One of the highlights of my stay was taking a yoga class, which was excellent. The hotel also has a lovely spa offering massage services, making it easy to unwind without leaving the property. There were a few minor downsides. The water pressure in both the shower and toilet was quite low, although I understand that's likely part of island life and not necessarily something the hotel can control. I also had a mischievous little gecko who seemed to think my bed was his favorite bathroom, which became a daily surprise! Finally, the bed was much firmer than I prefer.

Location was excellent. The beds were comfortable to facility was nice. The pool could use a little sunshine the only problem we really didn’t like was the stairs were extremely steep And we were at the very top with a lofted room, and there was obviously creatures somewhere in the room because we woke up every morning with poop on our bed But it still was a great value. We’re pretty sure it was probably a gecko or a lizard nothing harmful and yes, I would stay again and the breakfast was excellent and it came with cabana beds again excellent. That the creatures were pooping on our bed

Ceiling: bugs and dust falling in my bed.

Great hotel! Such a fantastic find. The location was great with the beach bed access at probably the best spot on the island. Walkable to everything. Highly recommend

The location is amazing. Playa Norte is the place to be if you have kids. The property is all in the shade which provides a nice break from the beach/sun. As expected with plants there are bugs that bite, but not the kind of bites that itch (surprisingly). We didn’t use bug spray. The rooms are spacious and everything is very clean The hot tub is not I was expecting. It is the same temperature as the pool. You can ask for the staff to make it hotter and turn on the jets but it didn’t heat up fast enough. The kids liked playing in it. Yeah… just think no hot hub available

Location! Chios and Guacamole Mojitos Pepe at Oceanvs Rosario for massage Ada in housekeeping Marissa front desk 2 bedroom apartment was great for a family of 4 The beds were incredibly hard.. No microwave. Daybeds were stained No TV in main room.. Would like to see more variety in breakfast offerings.

The mattress old and can feel springs. The mini fridge in the room placed right in front of bed make 24/7 noise. I liked it cuz it kept the noise from outside out but if you cant handle it, this room is not for you. Staff feels more like you bothering them from their computer. So not very friendly considering its a small hotel but when you did ask it got done One day there were kids at pool their 8 pm. Ok so .... Lastly not located on beach. You cross street in the oceanus beachfront. Get there only early to save bes. ¹111

The hotel is in a prime location with beach access across the street, walking distance to restaurants, shops and the town centre square. It’s the perfect little hideaway.

Hot tub heater was inoperable 3 of the 4 days we were there

Location was close to beach but quiet. Breakfast and beach just across the street. Breakfast is plentiful. Staff very nice. Beach beds, towels and breakfast included. I would definitely stay here again . Everything was great. Maybe a little more variety in breakfast if you are staying a week or longer.

The hotel is set in a garden-like setting with a small pool and hot tub. There are on-site yoga classes, and the vibe is very relaxed at the hotel. The beach club across the street has breakfast and a beach lounge included, so you get the best of both worlds; relaxed if you want it or more of a party atmosphere at the beach. It can take a while for the shower to warm up.

The pool area was a bit booring and "dark".

Very convent to lots of things

We liked the location, the room was basic but met our needs. The location was excellent—close to the beach and an easy walk into town for dinner. Loved that a beachside chaise came with the room. Maelisa was helpful. We did not use the pool. Would have liked the vegetation to be cut back as the pool area was shaded most of the day. Also, more vegetation typically means more mosquitoes. Would appreciate a slightly expanded breakfast menu.

Very nice location, excellent breakfast! Close to the beach!

The property was quiet and the rooms were spacious. It is a great added bonus to have access to Casa del Jaguar Beach Club across the street. The included breakfast was great, and access to a cabana bed on the beach added to the stay immensely!
