Galata Greenland Hotel

The staff on reception was friendly and helped to call me a taxi. The bed was ok. The room was spacious, with good views and a lot of light. The curtains worked well to block the sun in the morning.

Fantastic staff, great location, clean room, very attentive people. For my birthday they sent me a fruit plate and beautiful towel thingy on my bed looking like flowers with a message from the operations manager. It was so kind!

The best part of this hotel is definitely the location. It is within walking distance to Galata Tower, close to the metro, and surrounded by many cozy cafés and local eateries. The area feels lively and convenient for exploring Istanbul. Breakfast was also quite good with a decent selection of food. The hotel would benefit from some renovation and better maintenance. Unfortunately, there were cockroaches during the stay, including one incident at the breakfast area which was unpleasant. Also, there is a minaret located very close to the hotel, so the early morning prayer calls around 4:30-5:00 AM were very loud and may disturb light sleepers.

The location was close to many shops and tourist sights so it was easy to make my way around. The breakfast and the coffee was EXCELLENT! Especially the coffee. The staff are very helpful and giving me tips and advice. The blanket was a bit too thin and there was no windows in my room so the air was closed up. Everything else was great

We came home after a day out and found the water had cut out when we went to have a shower, or there was only a trickle coming out. This has happened two nights in a row. There are three of us in the family, so you can imagine what it’s like.

The only good thing at this place was the breakfast. The room I was given doesn't look at all like the ones in the pictures. The hotel overall looks very outdated and the bathrooms are gross with not enough soap and rusty shower handles. At the same time you need to walk quite a bit to reach the main street in Kararkoy and the Galata bridge.

The location was very central for me, near the Metro and bus stops. I could easily do my shopping nearby and have dinner near the restaurants by the Galata Towers, and the vibes were amazing. The breakfast was not really up to standard. I expected variety; however, omelettes and other additions were sold separately. It would have been great to have less of the cold meats and salads, especially when it's cold.

I was with friends at this hotel. Everything was excellent. The hotels transfer helped us get out of the airport. Even though check-in was at 2:00 PM, we had an early morning flight and the hotel accommodated us in early, which was very much appreciated. Friendly and very attentive staff, to whom I also express my deepest gratitude. Delicious and varied breakfast. The hotel's location is probably the best in the whole city. 5 minutes walk from Galata Tower, surrounded by beautiful streets, cafes, restaurants and shops. Also 5 minutes from the public transport station, from where you can get to any corner of the city. In short, I and my friends highly recommend this hotel.

I recently stayed at this hotel with my friends, and I can honestly say it was one of the best experiences we’ve ever had. Everything exceeded our expectations from start to finish. A special thank you to the reception staff, especially Ateş, who went above and beyond when I asked for help arranging a birthday cake for my friend. He was incredibly kind and happy to assist, and the hotel even surprised my friend with a thoughtful little gesture that made the celebration even more special. The hotel itself was always spotless and had a fresh, welcoming atmosphere. You could really tell that cleanliness and comfort are a top priority. On top of that, the food was absolutely amazing, every meal was something to look forward to. This place truly made our trip unforgettable, and I will most definitely be coming back for another amazing vacation. Highly recommend!

Room was very nice, breakfast on the rooftop terrace is my favourite.

I had a wonderful time here. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was really good especially for the price. The hotel is hardly 5 mins walk from Galata Tower so 10/10 for location. They have a 24/7 WhatsApp number and the response time is great! My flight wasn't until a few hours after my checkout so the staff was kind enough to offer keeping my luggage with them after check out.

Our flush wasn’t working well in the room. We travelled in Dec and it was very cold, but the heater wasn’t working aswell

Only The location Unfortunately, apart from the location, everything else was a bad experience. The room was very old, ugly, and poorly maintained. The bathroom was in terrible condition: the toilet was almost detached from the floor and positioned so close to the sink that it was impossible to sit properly. Everything felt dirty and unhygienic. Every single day we had to ask for toilet paper and towels, as they were not replenished. At the sixth floor, where the breakfast buffet is served, there was even a mouse running around the dining area — completely unacceptable. To make things worse, after we checked out, the hotel contacted me claiming that I hadn’t paid for the initial taxi from the airport, which I had already paid for in full. Overall, a very disappointing stay and definitely not recommended.

Close to Galata tower. Buffet breakfast was nice. The room area was small for 3 persons. The sofa bed for 3rd guest wasn't comfortable. The bathroom is too small. There is no telephone facility for room service, etc. Guests have to contact reception thru WhatsApp only.

Value for money It’s worth for the money

Everything was excellent. The cleanliness of the room and the service were excellent. The staff were very friendly, and the hotel's location was perfect, close to the tower.
