Galata Masterpiece Hotel

Nothing to be honest! It was a great choice for us indeed!

Location is an off the main roads down an alley that is dark with some dilapidated buildings and no other businesses. We didn’t feel comfortable getting back to our room after dark, so we missed out on some key time to explore the city night life.

The staff deserve special praise. Every time we left the hotel, they wished us a great day and reminded us to stay safe. Whenever we returned, they always asked how our day had been. They were incredibly kind, friendly, and always made sure we had everything we needed. One evening, they even walked us to the nearby store so we wouldn't have to go alone at night, which made us feel very safe and cared for. The rooms were cleaned every morning, and the towels and bed linen were changed daily. The location is perfect, with everything within easy walking distance. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a clean, peaceful, and safe place to stay with outstanding hospitality. I would definitely stay here again. ❤️ /

great location for walking around Istanbul's historic areas and old town. Bed was comfortable. There was a bit of a smell of dampness/mould in the bathroom and the switch on the shower to change from hand held to overhead shower rose was broken. Quiet street so not noisy at night which meant we could keep the window open. Reception staffed 24 hours and staff were friendly and happy to help. Overall comfortable room with in a great location, just a few little things to fix. slight mouldy smell in shower and hallway.

The room is so comfortable, clean and cozy. Staff is super attentive and responsive, doing everything to making your stay the best possible, ensuring you have everything you need. The location is great. Highly recommend! Nothing to complain.

We had a great stay at this hotel. Great central location, the rooms is very comfy.

The hotel was conveniently located within walking distance of both Galataport and Istiklal Street. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The highlight of our stay was definitely the staff. Marwan, Mahmoud, Mohamed, and Salma were outstanding. They were always friendly, attentive, and made a point to check on us whenever we came through the lobby. The room itself was excellent, but the staff truly elevated the entire experience. N/A

The location was a good distance from both Galataport and Istiklal street. The room was comfortable and clean. The best part of our stay was the staff. Marwan, Mahmoud, Mohamed, and Salma were exceptional. They were very accommodating and consistently checked up on us every time we passed through the lobby. Great location, felt like I was in the real Istanbul not in the tourist area but everything that I wanted to see was close by and easily accessible. Not to mention the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Just that the lift was small and very slow. But that is only a quibble not really and concern. Certainly helped get tired feet up to our apartment on the fourth floor when we needed it.

Super clean hotel and very friendly and helpful staff. It was easy to communicate as they spoke my language.

First, I really liked the location of this property. The neighborhood has an artsy atmosphere and lots of narrow streets with cafes and shops. The room was also clean and good for my short stay. But what stood out to me was the kindness of Yasser who helps run the hotel. He was very helpful with solving an issue that came up during the trip and making the visit a good one. I very much appreciate his assistance and going the extra mile.

We really enjoyed our stay at Galata Master Hotel and would absolutely stay here again on a future trip to Istanbul. The location is honestly excellent and one of the best we’ve experienced in Istanbul. It’s perfectly situated in Karaköy and within walking distance of Galata Tower, Istiklal Street, Galataport, the ferry area, Tomtom, and Çukurcuma. The neighborhood itself felt lively, charming, and incredibly convenient for exploring different parts of the city. The staff were wonderful throughout our stay, extremely kind, welcoming, and helpful. A special thank you to Mahmoud, who was especially friendly and professional. Everyone at reception made us feel genuinely welcome. The room was clean, comfortable, and looked exactly as advertised online. The beds were comfortable overall, and the hotel had a very pleasant atmosphere. The feedback below is simply constructive feedback because we genuinely think this hotel has the potential to be even better with a few small improvements. None of these issues ruined our stay, and they are mostly things that seem manageable to improve over time. The main area that could be improved is the toiletries and bathroom setup. The toiletries provided felt very low quality and extremely watery, especially the soap and shower products, and they ran out quite quickly. Higher-quality products would make a noticeable difference to the guest experience. The shower area also allowed water to escape into the bathroom floor because there did not appear to be a shower door or glass partition installed, which made showering a little uncomfortable at times. There were also a few small maintenance details: The closet over the fridge was great, it was just shaky but that could be easily improved if it was affixed to the wall. The carpet in the hallway has some visible stains that could benefit from attention in the future. Overall, though, we had a genuinely excellent stay. The amazing location and exceptionally kind staff completely outweighed the minor issues, and we would happily return and recommend the hotel to others visiting Istanbul.

If you want your vacation to be surrounded with helpful staff, this is the hotel for you. All is comfortable, in the middle of everywhere.

I had a great stay at this hotel. The reception staff were very welcoming and professional, and check-in was smooth and easy. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The location is also very convenient, close to many restaurants and attractions. Overall a very pleasant experience and I would definitely stay here again.
