Stayed at Walton Hotel Galata for a few days and it was a genuinely lovely experience. The room was clean and well-kept

I checked into Hotel Walton Galata for my final night in Istanbul because I wanted to be closer to the Beyoglu neighborhood. Immediately upon check in I received a room upgrade, to a phenomenal room, as well as a free welcome cocktail card for the rooftop bar. The room was luxurious and sizable, with large windows and efficient air conditioning. I went to the rooftop bar for tapas and cocktails, as well as breakfast the following morning. As a solo traveler, I pride hotel restaurants for being less daunting than going out on occasion. This one upheld this desire. The food (especially breakfast) was filling. The view from the roof was stunning. Finally, the day after check out I had a 1am taxi arranged to the airport for a red-eye flight, and as a solo female was at a loss trying to figure out how to occupy my evening from dinner to the taxi (that the airport arranged.) I ended up sitting in the hotel lobby at the welcome and host of concierge, Cihan. He was accommodating, offering me tea and coffee, and was a great conversationalist in my attempt to stay awake. I highly recommend Hotel Walton Galata as one of my favorite stays across what has now been a 5 country trip. Well worth it!

Great place near to the tower

This is a charming and comfortable hotel with attentive, professional staff who make guests feel genuinely well cared for. Its convenient location puts many attractions within easy reach, and the rooftop bar provides a delightful setting to enjoy a drink and take in the surroundings.

The staff were exceptionally helpful and welcoming throughout my stay. They assisted me with transportation, navigating the city, and even helped me book a domestic flight. The location was excellent...within walking distance of Galata, Karaköy, cafés, restaurants, and public transportation. Breakfast was delicious, with a wonderful selection of Turkish specialties, and the owner, Zeynep, personally checked in to make sure guests were well taken care of, even reaching out via WhatsApp before my arrival. The only thing I would have preferred was a room with a window and natural light, but none were available when I made my reservation. I didn't realize how much I enjoy having a window until this trip, especially since I like returning to my room in the afternoon to relax. This is purely a personal preference and did not take away from an otherwise enjoyable stay.

The warm Turkish hospitality from Zeynep and her team, the location is prime, everything is up to date, clean, and modern. The morning breakfast with rooftop view of the Bosphorus. This hotel just reminds me or everything that made me fell in love with Turkiye and is an example why I continue to come back and stay longer each time. I didn’t spend more time there.

The Cleanliness Nothing

location was walkable to istiklal and galata tower and karakoy area. best location. concierge Salim was very helpful narrow street taxi cannot get into you have to drag luggage to get to property but excellent location.

This hotel is very well located. Short walking distance to several public transportation including tram, metro and funicular. The Hotel is very clean and the staff was very helpful. Also available is a great breakfast on the rooftop.

We stayed at this hotel from may 23rd to may 27th 2026 when visiting Istanbul. The room was clean and the front desk staff was very friendly. The location was very convenient for us and requires only a short walk to the M2 subway, the T1 tramway, the Karakoy restaurant area and the Galata tower. We would most definitely go back to this same hotel if ever returning to Istanbul in the future. Julie & Sylvain ?? Everything was good!

Exceptional service and attention to detail. Salim at reception was one of the most welcoming and attentive hosts we’ve ever encountered. Meira, the cleaner was also very attentive. Very central location, ideal for a weekend. Room isolation could be better but overall very II est value for money.

The property was great!! Definitely would stay here again. I don’t have any complaints. The staff was so helpful & very kind. Upgraded our room free of charge. The breakfast was good. The location was great also. Just a little walk and you’re close to majority of everything!

This property is ideally situated for those who wish to explore the heart of Istanbul. The taxis booked through booking.com took us right to the property to and from the airport with no issues whatsoever. The entrance to the property is not on a busy street and as such does not incur a lot of foot traffic, making it more private and yet accessible from both the main area towards the Galata bridge and also to the Galata tower with its restaurants and shopping areas. The Restaurant at the top of the hotel is very nice and has great views out towards the Galata bridge area and Galata tower. There is a bar included in the restaurant area which serves drinks in the evening. Included near the bar is some small steps which leads to the roof from where I took some pictures of Istanbul and the Galata tower. These pictures are below. In conclusion a clean hotel with superb access to all you need for a visit to Istanbul. There was nothing to dislike.
