Cute room in a traditional house; friendly host who gave me lots of tips about Istanbul; good breakfast; short walk to the historical area around Hagia Sofia, the Blue Mosque, etc.; good wifi; good price

Being an older house, of course it’s not very soundproof. But I came prepared with earplugs, so it didn’t bother me much.

There was no hot (or even warm) water for the 3 days we stayed. We were offered to shower in an unoccupied room on another floor, but it had no hot water either. The room with balcony that we stayed in had a sewage smell in the bathroom the entire time we were there. The listing had breakfast included, but when we arrived, we learned there was a 10€ charge for breakfast.

Absolutely great location and wonderful hosts!

The bathroom was not good as expected. It is a renovated house, not a proper hotel, so the facilities are like that. There is no elevator.

The two greatest advantages are a) the extraordinary location of the hotel (you can reach all monuments in the so-called historic peninsula' (historic center) by walking); and b) the amazingly friendly host, Günnu, offering us her plentiful and heart-warming breakfast every morning with a smile and answering all of our questions about how to get certain things done and where to find what we wanted. Nothing.

I liked the relaxed and friendly environment. It was also very quiet and in a very good location, so it was nice to come back after a lot of sightseeing. The manager was also very flexible, tried to deliver what we needed. She changed the room, that at first was very small, and changed it to a bigger one. The breakfast could be much improved. Also the facilities of the bathroom could be better.

This lovely, cozy hotel is located in the old town within an easy walk to the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. There are plenty of restaurants and coffee shops nearby. The ocean is just a few blocks away. The neighborhood is quiet and safe. The proprietor, Youness, is friendly and welcoming. He was flexible with our checkout time which we greatly appreciated. The breakfast was delicious! There were olives, cheese, bread, tomatoes, cucumbers, cereal, and eggs. In addition, each day had one or two extra dishes such as an eggplant stew or potatoes. The women who prepare breakfast are friendly and accommodating. They are used to using Google translate if you have questions. The shower in room #7 is quite compact. If you’re a big person, it would be a challenge to shower comfortably.

Host is so lovely! She made us feel right at home, provided great recommendations, and was very attentive. Hotel was very cute and breakfast was delicious.
