The Havana Residence

I am no expert but the room did not look even close to 25m2 even with toilet and shower added.

The staff were very nice The very bad sewer smell. Lots of mold. The smell. The very bad smell. Lots of broken bits and holes and stains everywhere.

We liked the location, the staff and the price We didn’t like the facilities, room number 7 is really bad but we ask to change room and they propose us room 2 and it was much better !!! It must be renovate (the stairs, the shower, the wall are really really thin, the windows didn’t close so you can hear the road like you are outside…)

Place is in a really good location and price is cheap. If you are looking for a place to sleep only. This is the correct one. Take into account, there are many bars around the corner and it can be noisy on weekends. Another good thing is the location. You can get everywhere from there. Some stuff is broken down, but not too important.

The door lock sometimes not working well.

The host went above and beyond to ensure we had a comfortable stay. The hotel was very well located and super cozy and comfortable to stay in. Would highly recommend!

Exceptional

The room smelled of smoke, there was no heating, the air conditioner was very old, it was noisy, it did not work for heating. It was cold, the tap in the bathroom was broken.

I liked that to rooms look cool for pictures, they look a lot like the pictures here. The rooms are beautiful, but when you look closely they are dirty. Found 2 dead cockroaches in my room. The location was a walk and hard to find as it’s a small building. A lot of noise at night. Good for a night or two but not more.

The only problem i faced that on booking the room shows that it has 2 beds but the hotel only has 1 bed

The location is very good,easy to reach The room was freezing. The air conditioning was on, but incredibly noisy – impossible to sleep with. The shower was broken. The toilet leaked into a bucket all night. And there was no one at reception to ask about changing rooms.

The location is amazing. AC did not work, there was a strange smell in one of the rooms and also the bathrooms in the other 2 which made the stay unbearable. When taking a shower the shower head was broken.

Good location and the price was very low, clean rooms. The door to the balcony had been broken into and had not been fixed, so it didn't lock. Also the door and the windows offered zero sound insulation to the noisy street. The hotel is also generally very noisy, with footsteps and stairs... Also a constant smell of sewage from the bathroom.

Centrally located and close to major attractions and subway. That's clean enough. Photographs do not reflect reality - rooms need to be updated. In one of the rooms, water from the boiler dripped into a bucket and quickly overflowed, resulting in water on the floor. Non-transparent check-in system: the administrator was never there, messages via Booking were not answered promptly. I was helped to check in by a Turkish guy (apparently an acquaintance of the administrator) who was nearby. High audibility in the rooms.

The place wasn't marked well and the instructions were not clear. Upon arrival I needed to ask a guy from a bar to help me and call to the owner to provide me the instructions for entering the room. The room looked nice but when you take a closer look it was not well maintained, cheap materials and poorly done . We would say bric a brac. It was also not clean. For this price I had better experiences in cheaper places/ hostels.
