Windrose Hostel

The staff was great. The shared room was a disaster; I couldn't sleep. Anyway, I shouldn't have expected more than that for such a price.

Really great value! The staff was incredibly helpful, room was clean and bed was cozy, the location is good in that it’s quiet enough but still central. Can’t really fault it! One of the showers needs another screen to avoid water on the floor. I wasn’t there in peak season so I’m not sure if the amount of bathrooms is normally enough or not.

I would have liked a small lamp in the private room, as the main light was the only source of light and it was extremely bright/ harsh. Just a small note that could improve the overall experience.

Great location close to the places I wanted to visit. Friendly staff who are very accommodating. Vintage building that is kept in good condition. No elevator but that is expected with most old buildings.

Nothing - only positive vibes!

Only stayed for a short night as I needed to catch an early flight the next morning. Fantastic location, close to Taksim area. Many restaurants nearby. For the location, I thought it is extremely quiet that I was able to get a good night sleep. Friendly receptionist. Would return! :) Nothing

Wonderful hostel. I really enjoyed it. I had a little room at the top with balcony. Very cosy. Staff were great. Good kitchen facility and cosy shared lounge area. Great location. Close to Taksim Square, metro, food option. It was all great really. Just be prepared that you are top of a hill, so when getting back from down where the ferries and bridges are, you'll have a good work out climbing up hill. Unless you get the metro to Taksim and then no problem.

I liked the vibe the energy of this place. And what i liked the most is the staff, they are very kind and helpful. I definitely will come back

Nice area and space, very comfy and great air conditioning! Unfortunately, an important item was lost while in the care of the staff for laundry.

The electricity went out several times over two days. The booking was non-refundable, so I paid for 4 days but stayed only 2 days.

Staff was very helpful. Could sleep without any noise. There was good heating system. I felt safe. Great location. Thank you Windrose. Will come again. Bathroom, Shower was a bit old and could have been cleaner.

Great location . Cozy kitchen and lounge Room was FREEZING in May!!! Told heat would be fixed “next week”. I had to move hostels. Will probably warm up for the Istanbul summer

I didn’t know that they don’t have AC. In July it’s really hard to survive without them.

The location is on a small quiet street yet still close to busy Istiklal. All of the staff are friendly and helpful. My mattress was comfortable. The shower has good water pressure with plenty of hot water. The kitchen is clean with a nice big refrigerator. A clean environment. Recommended.

The hostel is located in a great place in the city center. We went everywhere by feet. The hostel is nice and clean. They clean it everyday. The staff is friendly and helpful but not everyone speaks English so we had some difficulties when checked out. It was cold at night and the central heating doesn’t really heat but then we remembered that it’s the problem of whole Turkey not exactly this hostel so if you go there in April take warm pajamas.

There was so calm and very quiet to rest. The location was so good. Near İstiklal Street and Taksim Meydanı. I hope that they can improve their Hostel. ?
