Grand Star Hotel Bosphorus & Spa

The staff was very cordial and supportive. There was an Iranian fella, Farzad if I'm not mistaken, who put us in a cozy room with a spectacular view. He made our stay extra pleasant. As we arrived pretty late at midnight, he called our room a few times after we checked in just to make sure everything was provided. The kindest hotel receptionist that I have seen. The food was the only bit that I didn't appreciate. There was a wide variety of different dishes at breakfast, but the taste wasn't really according to mine. Overall, I can't complain.

It’s near to metro and Taksim The staff manners are really bad. They are not helpful at all. The room we were given smells bad we asked to change it they refuse rudely. The price.high comparing with the comfort The breakfast really really bad the bans was cut into 4 peaces and dry no proper bread to eat no croissants at all dry cakes

Location is so close to taksim square 1. Totally not similar as pictures, we choose triple room, beds were so small, bedsheets have yellow stains, no coffee cups, only small tea glass was available. - we chose city view, however we got hotel building view( like literally you can see people facing you) -Bathroom is extremely old and half broken, toileteries were not available( only shampoo and body gel sticked to the wall, which hardly you need to press to get it) - we requested to checkout at 2 pm, and they accepted as this was mentioned in their property facility as late checkout if it is available. They started calling us 1:15 pm and 1:35pm claiming that 1 pm is checkout. Later the staff mentioned that 1:35 is almost 2pm.

The facilities are at the level of a two-star hotel. There is a lot of noise from outside the rooms because the windows are not suitable. The equipment inside the room is broken.

Both lift was under repair and only employee lift was open though it scared us as it shakes and tumble while running .. the hotel is under repair and some renovation .. all the dust and ashes comes in at breakfast area while renovation and repairmen going on at breakfast area. Hotel should stop all these activities of these repair work during breakfast time . Room had no WiFi and had to move out to another room .. no facial tissue and shower towel had some hair and seems did not clean very well ..very loud noise comes from nearby probably from a club where people are seen dancing from hotel balcony … overall was not a pleasant stay for us

The location is very strategic. Near to Istiklal Street and easy access to public transport. The view from restaurant is magnificent. The breakfast also good. Variety of breads, cheese and salads. Satisfied Cleanliness. Cleaning service didn't do their work properly. I stayed for 1 long week. Requested to change my towel but didn't get it. I have to reuse 2 towels during the stay, The floor didn't clean properly

Istanbul Upgrading from a standard room to the so-called “superior” room was the biggest fraud I’ve ever experienced in a hotel. The photos online are complete lies and do not match reality in any way. The room was ridiculously small, cramped, and depressing—if this is what they call superior, then the standard rooms must be closets. This hotel is the exact point where Turkish hospitality ends. Rooms are old, poorly maintained, and questionably clean. Housekeeping doesn’t change the linen at all; they just straighten the bed and pretend it’s fresh. The bathroom feels unhygienic, noise travels through the walls nonstop, and getting proper sleep is impossible. The staff show zero care or professionalism, acting annoyed whenever you ask for basic service. For the price, this place delivers nothing but frustration, discomfort, and regret. Misleading advertising, terrible service, and complete lack of honesty make this hotel an absolute disaster. Avoid it unless you want your Istanbul experience completely ruined. I wanted to upload detailed video, but so not have the option. Anyway, just avoid this place!

location to Taksim Square was near and to some shopping. For the money we paid, i was expecting a better room and facilities. I would not recommend this hotel for families or couples. the entire hotel stinks, smells very bad. Rooms are very small, can accommodate one person. but some how we managed to stay. I had to change to another hotel as my family was not willing to stay there. Breakfast is really bad, very cold breakfast, they wont refill if the stock gets over often. Hardly any items, except for cheese and some breads and egg. Definitely not worth the money paid. This hotel is like a local small hotels(10 *10 feet) near the bus stations.
