Gul Hotel

The breakfast was wonderful. Turkish breakfasts are always a treat. The room was nice, clean, and very comfortable. The staff was very kind and helpful. The area around the hotel felt very local, not touristy, but with lots of lovely shops, restaurant, and grocery stores close by. The bus stop is just a short walk away and the metro access was just a short 15 minute walk. We used the hotel transfer service from IST airport but just took a bus to the metro for our return to the airport. Both worked very well.

The location is great. Just walk outside the hotel, and there are all kinds of shops that cover everything you need 24 hours a day. The staff is friendly and cooperative. The room was cozy, comfortable, and the view was nice. The value for money exceeded my expectations I'm not sure if this was my mistake, but in Google Maps, there was a photo of a nice, large family room. That wasn't what I got. Also, I stayed in the top-floor room, but it turned out to be a horrible choice. The elevator sound wouldn't let us sleep. And the curtains don't cover the light at all. So if you are not prepared to wake at dawn, stay away from this room

Everything - staff, location, breakfast...

The staff were friendly and helpful with getting an iron, extra hangers for clothing, etc. Thank you! Gul Hotel's rate is great value for money and the location was great for me since it was near to where I was working at the Kanyon office building/ shopping mall and very close to metro access at M2 Levent station - which was also helpful in getting to the M11 to get to the Istanbul International airport easily. The breakfast was pretty ok, however, if there had been some yoghurt and/or fruit - for a lighter breakfast - it would have been even better. Still it was free and hard to expect more than this for the hotel rate paid.

The staff was really nice, breakfast small but tasty and fresh, quick Wi-Fi There was construction working during our stay, which is why it was noisy. There was an unpleasant smell in the bathroom

The conditioner was working well, the staff was very friendly, the bathroom was clean, and the breakfast was tasty.

Clean and helpful staff Nothing

Hard to think of anything A lot, the staff ignored my messages about the room because there was a heater right next to the bed constantly making a CLICKCLICKCLICK noise so I barely slept while I was there, the WHOLE hotel reaked of cigarettes smoke so much so that my eyes were hazy the whole time despite opening a window, even the workers were smoking cigarettes in the lobby the day I left. I would recommend you to stay away from this place if you enjoy sleep, sanity and somewhat fresh air (hard to find in istanbul)

I loved staying there. The room was clean, the bed was comfy, the heating worked amazing, the hot water ran properly. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The price was more than reasonable. The location was perfect for my needs but it's also good in general - good transportation, avcess to several metro stations. A small bedside lamp didn't function properly but it's just a minor inconvenience

Personal was friendly and ready for help.Place location hotel very good. Bad poor soundproofing, occasional noises in the plumbing, and the worst thing is that sometimes, mostly in the evening, the smell of cigarettes was so overwhelming that it was sometimes impossible to fall asleep, apparently they smoked in the corridors or on the stairs.
