The Byzantium Hotel & Suites - Special Class

My reservation was cancelled by the hotel a few hours prior to arrival and I had to book another place

The entire facility was very clean, and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. My sister became sick during our trip, and they were incredibly kind and accommodating by allowing me to bring breakfast to her room. I truly appreciated their compassion and exceptional customer service. The location was another highlight. It is centrally located and within walking distance of major attractions like the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. It is also very close to the Sultanahmet Metro Station, making it easy and convenient to get around the city. Overall, we had an excellent experience, and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Istanbul. The wifi was bad. Didn’t get much great service.

I can't say enough great things about our stay! It exceeded our expectations and was so comfortable. We had never been to turkey before and we were only there for two days so we wanted to stay in the heart of the historical district. It was close to everything. The staff was so helpful with suggestions, help booking tours, and answering all our questions. Every morning the breakfast was this huge Turkish display of meats and cheeses, and Turkish staples. We got a hamam treatment at the spa downstairs - it's the cleanest I've ever felt and so relaxing ( after you get past the scrubbing bit) Everything felt luxurious clean and safe. The hotel staff was amazing at answering all of our questions and helping us book and navigate the area. The room was STUNNING with a view of the ocean on a balcony.

It’s a modest hotel, but the location is what makes it a great choice. Everything we wanted to see in the old town was with a walking distance. We had a room on the 4th floor with a balcony and a sea view, which I recommend. The shower was spacious and the water pressure was great. They offer a buffet style breakfast in the morning downstairs, an added value,and Erhan was there making sure everyone is taken care of. We did try the restaurant on the rooftop a couple of times and really enjoyed it. The food,service and the view were excellent. The photo with the rainbow is from the restaurant terrace and the daytime one is the view from the room.

The best place to stay in Istanbul! We definitely be back!!!

Excellent location - 5 mins walk to Aya Sofia / Blue Mosque very helpful and friendly staff good room cleaning & breakfast good value for for the price you pay rooms need to be updated, rooms are quite dated and require DIY, alongside better noise isolation

The rooms were very well maintained, the staff were very friendly and helpful, and the turkish traditional breakfast service was exceptional, thank you Erhan! Nothing! :)

The breakfast was OK, but nothing more. The cleaning staff started their cleaning routines at around 07:00am every morning which made a lot of noise and it was somewhat difficult to sleep properly.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The location was perfect, the family room was very big and clean, and the breakfast was excellent. Erhan, the Maitre at the breakfast was absolutely lovely with us. The staff was extremely kind and helpful during our stay. We would definitely recommend this hotel and would love to come back again.

We had the greatest view and location

Location is excellent, great breakfast, very helpful staff. Very poor soundproof, sewage smell in the rooms and some common areas. No vent in the bathroom, and significant presence of black mold

Staffs were so much friendly ; especially Oktey and Enes were so helpful and approachable that assisting me with the unsatisfying room conditions. They tried their extra effort to meet my request that I really appreciate.

The staff was very friendly. And the breakfast was really good. the walls are kind of a bit thin to hear your neighbors loud voices.

A huge thank-you to the manager, Orhan, who went above and beyond to make sure my stay was perfect. He was incredibly attentive, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything I needed. You can truly tell he takes pride in running a top-class hotel. Special shoutout as well to Muharram and the rest of the staff — everyone was friendly, helpful, and made me feel right at home. Whether it was assistance with the room, recommendations, or just a warm greeting, the entire team made the experience exceptional. The hotel itself is beautiful, clean, and very comfortable, with a relaxing spa and a great location. It truly felt like a boutique luxury experience with a personal touch. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend Byzantium Suites Hotel & Spa to anyone visiting Istanbul. Thank you to Orhan, Muharram, and the whole team for making this such a memorable stay! Nothing everything was great.
