The location is good. The hot spring facility is small.

Everything in the hotel feels like from the 80s & 90s. Good service. Convenient parking. Facilities are old.
-
The light switches were hard to find- all lighting is operated by switches on the bed side table and the main lights were marked as “foot light”.

Woman’s spring bath was very small. My wife couldn’t use bcz the group was exclusively using it.

The ONSEN is right across from our room on eighth floor. It would have given us a better stay experience if the kitchen vent is in better shape to keep food odor from entering room's hallways and elevator. Shampoo all carpet area. Get rid of black mildew surrounding faucets and in ONSEN area. Better trainings for room clean-up crews. "Details, details." The ONSEN is right across from our room on eighth floor. The breakfast is plenty and staff are courteous and helpful. The hotel is close to all kibds if walk tour routes.

Actually quite curious what thei typical customers migh be - the locals that want kind of British-style experince, but not adventurous enough to travel and get the first-hand experience? Or, well - at least the most noticeable thing on arrival was this old-fashioned furnishing style of room, also some unpleasant smell of old things that come with that, fortunately with aircon/ventilation on that soon disappeared for good. Having said that, the level of comfort was notably better than this initial appearance suggested (a clear winner in comparison to similarly looking British places in which I have stayed), furniture was quite practical and also the bed was quite comfy. Also was nicely surprised by their Japanese style breakfast - actually better than at nearby more authentic place in which I have used to stay in few occasions, but which was fully booked this time, so had to look for alternatives. Price/value ratio seemed to be quite good, will not be the first choice, but ready to consider staying there again.
