Very good onsen, nice location across from a park and near Reimeikan museum. Some staff spoke a bit of English. Nice lobby area.
-
Set dinner is a very good experience. Public onsen is excellent. Location is close to city center and accessible to many sight seeing places via walking. Nothing at all.
-
The location is very convenient to get to the train station or airport as well as to the ferry and main pedestrian street with a lot of restaurants. The breakfast was great with several options per order. A little bit noisy and busy street location
-
I like it very much because it’s just around Tenmonkan. The hotel is affordable, walking distance to the Immigration. Most especially I love the Onsen.Breakfast is delicious and the staff are nice. Well, just a little thing only. I want hot water always in the thermos because anytime I drink coffee or tea.
-
Great location — very convenient for getting around and close to many places. Breakfast is decent — 4 set options, and the price is reasonable. The hotel is very old and dated — the oldest one we stayed at during our Japan trip. Booking/charging issue: I clearly remember selecting 2 guests on Booking, but the confirmation showed 1 guest. At check-in, the extra-person charge was higher than my original booking price, which didn’t make sense. We had to spend a lot of time discussing the extra charge, which hurt the overall experience.

Due to a flight cancellation I arrived a day late but the property was able to hold me reservation for the second day. In the end I only stayed one night at the property but it was a positive experience. The hotel's location was central and close to all the attractions and shops and restaurants and cafes. The staff was friendly and professional and goes out their way to make the visitor feel at home.

Excellent onsen

Great location near shopping arcade and streetcar access to the rest of the city. Nice to have soaking tub onsite. Great breakfast, with regional cuisine and different choices each of the three days we were there. Onsite gift shop was a bonus. Please ask guests to silence their cell phones during breakfast in communal space.

Big room in Japanese style , onsen, breakfast, location. Everything excellent. Fully recommend.

Staying at this traditional Japanese ryokan for six nights was a wonderful experience. The rooms were clean, and the air conditioning worked well. The hotel serves set breakfasts with a variety of small dishes, which I believe is a typical Japanese-style breakfast offered at many hotels. Each morning, you can choose from four different sets. The staff were exceptionally kind and helpful. The location is excellent, right in the heart of Kagoshima’s shopping district and city center. There are hundreds of restaurants and shops of all sizes nearby. It’s also easy to reach the main train station by taxi or public transportation. Additionally, several museums and Terukuni Shrine are within walking distance. If you’re looking to experience a traditional Japanese ryokan, we highly recommend this one.

The Japanese-style room was amazing. Very cosy with everything we needed. It is a bit old.
-
Simply great experiance. The hot spring was perfect tempreture at about 38c to 39c most days. The room was a perfect traditional Japanese room. Very specious. Location was also perfect for markets transit and restorants. Highly recomend this hotel. Nothing.
-
The room is a bit old and dusty. Really poor soundproofing walls and floors. The blinds are very thin.
-
Location is near to restaurants and walkable distant to train station. Japanese style room. Provide parking lot with a fee
-
Fantastic onsen, very helpful staff.
-
Very pleasant staff, premises were spotless, room had green tea (no coffee), hot & cold water containers, water jug etc and yukatas. Very hospitable. Leaving room key with reception when going out & collecting when returning. Daily onsen fee irrespective of using onsen (might be a tax) Breakfast times are too early.
