Gunjo no Tsuki

Very nice house, looks to have been recently updated, very clean, everything in good working order. Helpful information packet provided. Breakfast at owner's restaurant was included. Food different every day and phenomenal! Perhaps normal for Japan, but there is no elevated place to sit. The only gathering option is the dining room, sitting on the floor. There is a TV there, but no good way for all of the people int he house to gather and watch TV.

Quiet neighborhood. Easy access to many public transportation. Staff is helpful. Lots of good amenities provided. The room in the lower floor can hear sounds from room upstairs and noise from the street

Beautifully designed, stylish and meticulously kept apartment with sitting area, kitchenette and bathroom. Spacious sleeping area with comfortable futon beds. Great location in a quiet residential area, walking distance to the river, shopping, Kenroku-en gardens and areas of interest. Bus nearby as well. The delicious and generous breakfast was served in a cafe 2 minutes walk away. Very responsive and kind English speaking host who helped with tourist information, excellent restaurant recommendations, and booking a taxi. Highly recommended. A little dark on a rainy day due to the dark walls, but there were many lights and lamps in the apartment so not a problem.

The rooms are spacious, clean and beautiful. The location is great. The hosts were very accommodating and the breakfast was delicious!

The design of the property is lovely, it’s very traditional and is warm and minimalist. It’s located 5-10 minutes from the town where there are many nice places to eat and a short walk from the main attractions. The host is amazing and he owns a coffee shop and restaraunt 5 minutes away which serves lovely coffee & breakfast. Highly recommended.

Modern Ryokan in a quaint Kanazawa neighborhood Nothing. It was top notch.

The room was massive! Way bigger than we expected especially for Japan standards. Beautiful, modern space in a gorgeous and quiet street. Nice and private, yet super close to some great restaurants and bars, and easily walkable to Kenrokuen Gardens and Kanazawa Castle. The owner sat down with us and explained about Kanazawa to help us understand the city and some sightseeing opportunities too, so helpful! Honestly I would book this again in a second. Such a cool location and space. Oh, and a complete bargain! If I had to pick on anything it would be the lighting in the room wasn’t great. A floor lamp would be great. That’s a tiny nitpick though, everything else was perfect.

Great place to stay, very well located by walk. The quality and cleaning was excelent and the host really kind. Also delicious breakfast was served. Recomended!

Everything!!! The place has everything for a great stay. It is a small apartment with all the details and brand new. The owner has a Café less than one minute away. Breakfast is also a great choice!

Beautifully appointed, stylish Japanese style accommodation. It was lovely to have a washing machine and kitchen space, separate toilet and beautiful bathroom. Our host was very informative, with excellent English, and at our request, he booked us a taxi to the train station In keeping with the decor, the two chairs were supports on the floor. We did find one other small low chair in cupboard. Our old knees suffered a little from getting up and down from the floor and from the bed, but the trade-off was the authentic Japanese experience
