HOTEL MYSTAYS Kanazawa Katamachi

Location was great, the room was cozy and beatiful. We got everything we wished. At the departure day, i forgot one bag at the hotel, but the staff was so kind and send it to your next location. the street lights were at the same hight as our room and shined into our room quite bright, everything else was fine

Great area

Late night access. Proximity to city center as well as multiple convenience stores. Helpful staff who directed me on off-site parking. Guest crowd management in the lobby could be better.

Nice buffet breakfast

Hotel was fully renovated in 2025, so everything is new. The staff is very friendly, but some operations take time, so the process efficiency could be improved. This is just an observation, we were really enjoying our stay.

Parking is no good and the parking the hotel recommends are about twice the price of the parkings you can find by yourself.

No hotel parking

Great value for money. Convenient location, good amenities as well. Would prefer a bit more room. Some of the electronics were oddly placed in room, tv a bit in the hallway, no convenient outlet to put hvac out of the way etc.

The pillow and bed very uncomfortable

I am satisfied for the price at this hotel . Clean , good & helpful staff . Located in a location to visit attractions & eateries.

Good value for money

great staff, v close to a lot of things. had everything you needed including a laundry service in the hotel! the room was quite small. the double bed was v tight. our window didn’t open but we didn’t ask anyone how to open it so that was our fault

There's a club across the street so it gets loud. We went during spring and it was not possible to switch the heating off because its central for the whole hotel, we were literally sweating if we didn't switch the AC on.

Excellent central location ; close to main train station and the modern city center, close to Kanazawa castle and its beautiful park . We had a large room compared with other hotels in Japan, nicely decorated . Breakfast was excellent . General situation across Japan hotels ( with some exceptions in Tokyo and Hakone); staff is nice but do not speak English even at the reception desk ; they ask you to use their translation application on their phone , but they are very nice and resolve all your problems. TV has all channels in Japanese

The bed! Outstanding! Convenient location. Lounge room with snacks and games is great for families. Last time the woman at checkin was exceptional. This time the guy was functional but didn't go out of his way to be exceptional. If you car has a roof box you will need to park elsewhere. It gets cheaper the further you go up the side street.

The location is great, right in the centre of Katamachi with tons of restaurants, entertainment and historic sites nearby, namely the beautiful Nagamachi samurai district which is a peaceful and historic area that borders right onto Katamachi. There are two different convenience stores a one minute walk from the hotel and plenty of cafes, bakeries, eateries, bars and shopping all around you. Rooms super clean and fitted with everything you need, including a refrigerator, glasses and mugs, tea and kettle, high-quality soaps, many pillows (regular to memory foam to throw pillows) and comforters. Staff very helpful and the price was insane for this location and time of year! Seriously, I thought the price was a mistake because I booked a night during PEAK cherry blossoms, as in the predicted day they would be in full bloom. It was unreal, especially seeing hotels everywhere jack up their prices. I saw some reviews stating the rooms looked aged and need a makeover, but those reviews were from 2024 and before so clearly the hotel did that since then because they were spotless, clean, modern and beautiful. You’re getting much more than you pay for here! Everything was great and pristine. My only concern was that my window (and these windows open WIDE) had the latch broken off which keeps it from opening more than just a little to let air in. I didn’t mind because I’m an adult, but if I had kids staying and th window safety feature was broken, I’d be worried because I was on the 6th floor. Were that the case, I would have told the staff and I’m sure they would’ve fixed the issue, but it didn’t bother me, personally. Another thing I didn’t mind was that, obviously staying in the centre of Katamachi means you may hear some noise from outside. I didn’t catch any voices or human noise, but there were a few instances of emergency vehicles and sirens passing right past the hotel, including a bunch of them happening early in the morning. No fault of the hotel, just remember the location you’re in. If you want guaranteed peace all night, maybe stay further out.

Very modern, clean and well furnished. The staff is very well presented, helpful and kind. Located perfectly to access all places of interest easily. The room is too small to fully open a large luggage
